Brooks Ward: OF/SS, (2024) Catholic High School for Boys, AR. 6-foot-2, 198-pound long athletic frame. Projectable during batting practice, Ward recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Had a short uphill swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 75 mph; had athletic quick footwork, sure consistent hands, and a quick clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Clocked a 60 time of 7.18 at the event.

6-Foot-1, 170-Pound frame, lean build with athleticism and levers, ran a 7.10, Offensively; even set, leg lift to stride, barrel rhythm, barrel falls to slot, stable in ground, leverages to hit, slight lean back to clear barrel, power to pull side, repeats stroke, 91 mph exit velo, Defensively; attacks ball, fields outside left, funnel to midline, gather to throw, average carry, 77 mph arm strength.
6-Foot-1, 170-Pound frame projection to body with some present strength, ran a 7.10, Offensively; simple set, leg lift to stride, quiet barrel, backside works underneath body to contact, slight lean back to clear hands, short swing, uphill finish, loft to swing, 79 mph exit velo, Defensively; attacks ball, fields outside left, quick funnel quick release average carry, 77 mph arm strength.
