Cape Cod: The 6-foot-6, 210 pound right-hander mixed three pitches from a high three-quarter slot. A strike-thrower with a repeatable delivery and good direction, he located his 88-92 (2200-2300 rpm) fastball to both corners, while also keeping it down in the zone. Both secondary offerings, a low-80s breaking ball and 81-83 changeup were effective pitches. Neither showed average-quality on a pro scale, but both missed barrels for soft contact. Cravey finished the season with a 3.07 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 26.1 innings for the Gateman.
10.28.18 6’6 RHP that is ultra projectable and will continue to add strength and weight to his frame. He did a very good job of creating down plane on his FB, constantly pounding the bottom half of the zone and he has more velocity in him. Had good feel on his secondary stuff showing a CB with depth at 61-65 and a slider with tight spin at 72. His CH had tumble at 73-74. Really attacked hitters
Big kid (6’6 190 lbs.) that projects at 1B due to his height. Nice footwork and showcased a strong arm across the diamond (82 IF MPH) and well solid with the glove. Offensively, he has major pull side power from the left side. Starts with an even stance with a leg kick approach and has some big time tilt in the swing. Really showed juice, hitting multiple balls off of the wall in LF (85 mph exit velo off of a tee). Had disciplined at bats during the game and didn’t chase out of the zone with 2 hard line outs.
