5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic frame. In the box, the left-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a crouched stance with a controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, and used simple swing plane. In the round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 80 mph; has consistent feet and soft hands. Showed consistent accuracy to the bases. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.71.Solid, steady player that does a lot of nice things on the field.

Liked the round of BP from the left side. Starting from an open stance, Steadman showed some tilt in his bat path and did a nice job of working the middle of the field. One very impressive part of his round was the ability to drive balls to the backside gap. Very nice rhythmic load of the hands. Had a 1B and a loud L9 in game play. Nice over the top arm action from the OF kept throws on line with no tail at 80 mph. Athletic OF and left handed bat.

In the OF his defensive work was “plus”. Liked the actions and he had a super quick transfer and everything stayed together preparing for the throw. The arm is real nice and the ball stayed low to the ground and easily though the cut off man. The throws were super accurate and easy to handle by the catchers. At the plate, he showed a very solid approach from the left side as he started with a slightly open stance. Had a very short leg kick approach that allowed him to generate some pop even though his approach was short and compact. Real nice bat speed and strength in the hands.
Eli Steadman (2021, OF/3B, Briarwood Christian) 5’10 165 lbs- 7.10.18- another good young athlete that showcased this by running a 6.91 60 during the morning workout and this athleticism showed well tracking fly balls in the OF. His OF velo was 79 from a short arm action. He showcased a nice short swing from the left side with the ability to handle pitches on the inner half and a 72 mph exit velocity.
