Due to a mercy rule victory in their previous game, Faith Academy’s game at 7:00 started earlier than I anticipated. When I walked up to the stadium, the opposing team had bases loaded and had already scored against RHP Drew Druckenmiller (2021, Jones County CC). The Rams’ bullpen was active, but Druckenmiller was able to pitch his way out of the 1st. From there, the right-handed pitcher was in complete control of that lineup for the next 4+ innings on the mound. Fastball was sitting 85-86 mph, and bumped a couple of 87’s earlier on. Paired that with a banger of a breaking ball at 71-72 mph with hard/late bite. Worked off of a high fastball & low breaking ball that tunneled well. Although he may not have had his best stuff early on, Druckenmiller pitched with pure guts and emotion for 5 â…” innings. He finished not allowing a hit, gave up one run, walked five (only one after the 1st) and punched out nine in the outing. Impressive showing of toughness for the former Future Gamer.

Big, physical RHP that has made big time strides on the mound. Love the bulldog type mentality to go along with “plus” stuff. The mechanics are fluid and he does a very good job of using his powerful lower half. Showed the ability to really spot the FB that consistently sat 85-86 and topped at 87 mph. Really seemed to be “explosive” and down hill with this pitch. The change up showed nice deception and can really be a weapon vs. LH hitters. The 12/6 breaking ball seemed to really be a separator for him as it showed tremendous late depth and will be a definite swing and miss pitch for him. A top ‘21 uncommitted arm in the state.
10.28.18 Big time 2021 arm with a quick twitch “whippy” arm. Physical looking RHP that really attacks the zone and works fast. His fastball showed serious late life with ASR at 82-84 and topping at 85 mph. Another RHP that creates good plane with his FB. His breaking ball had nice shape with good spin at 73-75 and late depth. A definite 2021 RHP to follow.
A lot of good 2021 arms at this event and this one is no exception. Another 6’2 RHP that has a nice frame and the ability to continue to add strength and weight. Has more in the tank and may can add some velocity by freeing up his backside some not getting over his land foot. Regardless, this is a very projectible arm that shows good stuff now. His FB in the low 80’s seemed to get on hitters a little quicker than expected, as he was able to top 85 mph. The over the top breaking ball was a good pitch he mixed in in the low 70’s with nice shape. Another very projectible 2021 arm.
