Real nice athlete that can really run, turning in an event best 6.64 60 yard dash. This athletic action transfers to the game as well and the play in the OF shows that. Tracks balls very well and has a solid transfer after the ball is in the glove. Slightly open to begin with at the plate with a level swing path, that plays perfectly into his game. The swing is a bit stiff but still has nice timing and does a nice job using the lower half. There are some definite skills in this ‘21 OF.
1.20.19- quick twitch young athlete (2021) that has a ton of upside with some raw tools. Ran a blistering H-1B (3.78) that tied for the best time at the event. Obviously this speed is a tool he uses in the OF and does a nice job of getting rid of the ball quick after the catch. The arm is accurate and strength is nice but will get better as he matures over the next few years. A very raw hitter at the plate that shows nice, quick hands and there is some juice in the barrel. Flat bat path through the zone.
10.14.18 a young 2021 that can really run and is a terror on the bases when he gets on. Was H- 1B in 4.22 and showed this same speed during OF drills with a very accurate arm. His arm strength will continue to improve as he continues to mature physically.. At the plate, he started with an even stance and attacked the zone with a level swing plane and kept the barrel through the zone. Will continue to add strength as he grows older.
Christopher Bryant (2021, OF, Gardendale) 5’9 155 lbs- 7.10.18- ran the fastest 60 yard dash at the event in a time of 6.65 and also showed some raw strength at the plate with an exit velo of 80 mph. In the OF he was bit stiff but showcased consistent throws at 74 mph and the ability to track balls off of the bat. Had several stolen bases during game play.
