No matter where Kauffman steps on the field, he hits. He started off the month at the Best of the West as one of the top hitters on the Okotoks Dawgs who went on to win the tournament. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound RHH utilizes a short swing path and bat speed to drive the ball to all fields with authority. The Portland commit and 2023 Future Gamer, who is now playing in the WCBL with the Okotoks Dawgs, will look to carry his momentum into that league against college arms.
5/03/24
Kauffman's hit-tool was on full display all week at the Best of the West. He finished with 7 hits, 3 of which were for extra bases. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound RHH has a short, compact swing and showed the ability to find the gaps, using his speed to be a threat on the bases as well. Kauffman has also been up to 93 mph from the outfield and showed that throughout the week, throwing out multiple runners. The Portland commit will be a threat all year in an already talented Okotoks Dawgs lineup.
8/18/23
Kauffman continues to have one of the better seasons from a 2025 on the west side of Canada. Coming off the 2023 Future Games and impressive showing at the Canada Cup for Team BC, he swung a hot bat at the ProCase. During his round of BP, he often worked in the air towards his backside gap showing off his power potential. During live-game action he had multiple hits, driving one to the wall in LCF. On the mound, Kauffman's low ¾ slot creates natural arm side run on his fastball, topping out at 84 mph. The slider has sharp horizontal break with some depth to it as well, a potential swing and miss offering as he continues to refine it. Kauffman is one of the top 2025 outfielders in the country.

Landon Kauffman has been swinging a hot bat all season long, and that continued at the Calgary Future Game Trials. Kauffman utilizes a strong lower half and impressive bat speed to generate an aggressive but controlled swing at the plate. He likes to stay back up the middle and utilizes bat-to-ball skills to stay there consistently. He showed the ability to generate pull-side power as he hit one out during his round of BP. In the field, he had the best outfield velocity on the day at 89 mph, also having one of the more accurate arms of any outfielder. Having been one the biggest threats in a talented Okotoks Dawgs lineup so far this year, he will be a 2025 to keep tabs on as the season continues.
3/28/23
Uncommitted 2025 OF/LHP Landon Kauffman was the top underclass two-way player at the event and flashed more upside on the positional/hitting side but there’s plenty to like on the mound from the lefty, as well. Lean, athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 175-pounds and the right-handed hitter put together a quality round of BP with consistent, hard line-drive contact. Peak exit velocity of 97.8mph and peak distance of 311ft. Also a left-handed pitcher with a fastball that sat 82-84mph and pairs it with a curveball and changeup. Good looking uncommitted 2025 who should be on the radar of college coaches.
