Weather was once again the big story on Friday with a good deal of the schedule being affected. Following is a brief look at a few games that were contested involving teams in the PBR Elite 8 rankings.

Class AAA

#7 George Washington 6 @ Nitro 1

+ Austin Griffith's grand slam in the top of the 6th inning had staked the Patriots to a 6-1 lead before rain halted play.

Class AA

Mingo Central 0 @ #2 Herbert Hoover 14

+ Tristan Fields pitched a complete game two-hitter with 12 K's. He also went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run and two RBI at the plate.

Wayne 6 @ #8 Sissonville 8

+ Josh Landis and Jacob Fisher both had triples to lead the Indians 10-hit attack.

Class A

#3 Magnolia 7 @ Paden City 6

+ Zach Willhoite had four hits including a double in the win.

Nicholas County 0 @ #4 Valley (Fayette) 1

+ Druw Bowen tosses complete game 4-hitter with 12 K's.
