Tyler Gross is a 5-11, 170-pound two-way prospect that has yet to make a college commitment. The left-handed hitting outfielder hit .250 in a reserve role as a sophomore in 2012 at Musselman HS. Gross moved into a starting role as a junior and put up solid numbers. He finished 2013 hitting .326 with 18 runs scored and 12 RBI. Gross put together seven multi-hit games on the season, including two games with three hits.

The lefty was also effective on the mound a year ago going 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA in 26 innings of work. Gross struck out 24 and held opponents to a .222 average. With the departure of three senior pitchers from last year's roster, Gross is likely to get additional opportunities on the mound in his final season in an Applemen uniform.
