Ian Riggleman showed versatility in his first season in a high school uniform for the South Harrison Hawks. The 6-foot-2, 150-pound freshman saw time in the outfield, at shortstop and on the mound. Regardless of where he played defensively one thing remained constant, he swung the bat like an upperclassman.
Riggleman hit .337 in 2013 with 18 RBI and 21 runs scored. He also walked 14 times and finished the campaign with a .430 on base percentage. The left-handed hitter had eight multi-hit games on the season, four of which were three hit games.
The right-handed pitcher also worked 36.1 innings on the mound striking out 36 batters. Riggleman served notice that he is a prospect to follow in the Class of 2016.
