Player Spotlight: SS Jake Ullman

Jake Ullman (Parkersburg Catholic HS, 2014) was one of the best hitters in West Virginia in 2013. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound shortstop hit an even .500 with 50 hits in 100 at bats. The Crusaders scored 269 runs on the season and Ullman had a hand in 85 of them, scoring 48 times while driving in 37. When Ullman's 23 walks are factored in, he was on base at a .606 clip.
Adding to his impressive offensive showing, Ullman showcased his foot speed by stealing 21 of 22 bases while only striking out 5 times in 127 plate appearances.
