PBR West Virginia Spotlight Game: Scott Skyhawks vs. Poca Dots

The 2019 West Virginia High School Baseball season is entering the stretch run in the Mountain State. On Monday, this week's Spotlight Game takes us to Poca High School in Poca, WV as the Scott Skyhawks from Madison travel to take on the Poca Dots. First pitch is set for 6:00 pm.
The Skyhawks come into Monday's matchup winners of their last three games (five out of their last six). Scott is led at the plate by 2019 outfielder Nathan Kuhn. He comes into this game hot at the plate, racking up a .594 avg (38-for-64), 26 RBI, and an OPS of 1.673. Following closely behind Kuhn are 2019 outfielder Hunter Epling and 2019 3B/RHP Carter Lyles. Epling is hitting at a .434 (36-for-83) clip, while Lyles isn't far behind with a .429 avg (30-for-70).
On the mound, the Skyhawks will hand the ball to Lyles. In 41 innings, the WVU signee has surrendered only six earned runs while striking out 61 with an ERA of 1.02.
The Dots enter this game after a win over Herbert Hoover and a overall record of 12-7. Poca is led by 2021 catcher Ethan Payne who comes in hot with a .481 avg (25-for-52) and an OPS of 1.319 while slugging at .769. Payne also has two home runs through 15 games this season. 2020 catcher Nathan Cottrill enters with a .342 avg. (13-for-38) with two doubles and eight RBI. 2022 first baseman Toby Payne brings a .385 avg (20-for-52), including seven doubles and two triples.
It was not known who the Dots would hand the ball to tomorrow night.
