No. 5 Philip hoffman
PBR Notes: 6-foot-2, 220-pound right-hander has put together some comic book type numbers over the course of his first three years in a Wahama University, the last two of which have ended in state titles. Hoffman has recorded 352 strikeouts in just three years with an overall ERA of 1.09 with a fastball that sits in the upper 80s and can top out on occasion in the low 90s. The two-time 1st Team All-State Selection was named the captain of the 2016 Class A All-State Team while also hitting .520 with 34 RBI.
Hoffman is currently ranked No. 2 in WV and No. 375 in the PBR combined Class of 2017 rankings and signed his National Letter of Intent with Marshall University in November.
