As far as freshman season's go, Sissonville C/SS Josh Landis had a rather solid one. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitter finished his 1st year of high school baseball with a .333 average on 33 hits in 99 at bats. Landis drove in 26 runs and showed some pop in his bat with six doubles, two triples and a home run. He had five multi-hit games and hit safely in 26 of Sissonville's 34 games.
Landis showed a rare ability among prospects his age to drive in runs. Landis drove in four runs in a game on three separate occasions and three runs in a game twice.
With 13 errors on the season, Landis will have to continue to work on his defensive skills behind the plate and in the middle infield, but is definitely a player to watch in the Class of 2016.
