The 2nd Annual Fall College Prospect Program moved to La Roche College yesterday for Week 2 action. The fall format involves two nine inning games and a showcase at each of three stops over the course of the month of September. Of the 35 prospects in attendance two were from West Virginia. Following is a brief look at their performances.
2015 OF/LHP Braden Griffin (Man HS) worked three innings on the mound topping at 82 mph. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound uncommitted senior registered an event best 90 mph bat exit velocity and went 3-for-5 with a sacrifice fly and two RBI over the course of two games. Griffin showcased his bat speed and power potential with a home run to right field in his first at bat of the 2nd game, narrowly missing the scoreboard.
2015 OF/RHP Clayton Anderson (George Washington HS) also worked three innings topping at 80 mph while effectively utilizing his 69 mph curveball to register six strikeouts. The 6-foot, 215-pound uncommitted senior took one of the most impressive rounds of batting practice of the day while going 2-for-8 in game action.
Over the coming week we will break down all prospects in attendance by position. For now, here are the top measurable performers from Week Two along with complete statistical results.
