Fall College Prospect Program: Galusky & Schwertfeger Impress

Hitters stole the show on day two of the first weekend of the Fall College Prospect Program. In stark contrast to the pitchers dominating the action at La Roche College on Saturday, hitters owned the stage on Sunday at Seton Hill University. Following are a few highlights from the day's action with a more in depth analysis of all prospects to follow in the coming days.
Hitters
+ OF/1B Eric Fairman (Thomas Jefferson HS, Class of 2014) hit the first home run of the Fall College Prospect Program, a deep blast to left center field in the 3rd inning.
+ SS/2B Ted Williams (Meadville HS, Class of 2014) went 2-for-3 with two triples on the day.
+ 2B/OF Ryan Creps (Indiana HS, Class of 2014) went 2-for-2 with a triple and a sacrifice fly.
+ SS Jimmy Galusky (Preston HS - WV, Class of 2014) went 2-for-3 with a double and a stolen base.
+ 1B Sam Vilk (Mentor HS - OH, Class of 2014) went 1-for-2 with a double and turned in the top bat exit veocity of the day at 92 mph.
Defensive Highlights
+ OF Russell Schwertfeger (Brooke HS - WV, Class of 2014) topped all outfield arms at 88 mph in defensive evaluations. OF Kyle Wise (Saegertown HS, Class of 2014) also showed a strong arm at 87 mph. Wise also made a fully laid out diving catch in CF to take away a hit and showed good range to balls from all spots in the outfield during game action.
+ SS Jimmy Galusky (81 mph), 2B/SS Ted Williams (84 mph), 2B/RHP Devon Walker (DuBois HS, Class of 2014 - 84 mph) and SS/RHP John Matthews (Punxsutawney HS, Class of 2016 - 83 mph) all showed solid infield skills and strong arms.
+ C/3B Dan Trettel (North Allegheny HS, Class of 2014) gunned down a would be base stealer with a 1.97 in game pop time.
