The Outlook: Pierner was an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection last season for Bay Port. He is also the starting quarterback for the Pirates and was named First team All-Conference after throwing for 2,106 yards and 26 touchdowns, also rushed for 984 yards and 12 touchdowns. Pierner offers interesting upside in two sports at the next level.

Scouting Report: 3/13/16 - 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting shortstop with a strong, athletic frame. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top arm slot. Plays thru the ball with soft hands. Threw 77 mph across the infield. Offensively hits from a balanced, open stance with a leg kick stride. Showed strength thru contact with 84 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.20.
