Milwaukee Open: Position Player Analysis

On June 20th, the PBR Wisconsin staff traveled to The Rock Sports Complex in Franklin, WI to host the Milwaukee Open. The event featured nearly 40 players from the surrounding area, and provided our staff with an ample opportunity to check-in on some of the state’s top high school prospects.

In the week that followed this event, we produced post-event analysis that includes performance highlights inside of our Quick Hits story, a look at the traditional stats measured within our Statistical Analysis piece, batted-ball and swing metrics captured in our Positional Data Dive, and pitch data compiled in our Pitcher Data Dive.

Today we’ll begin our post-event process by rolling out the individual scouting reports of the day, starting with the position players which will followed by the pitcher reports in the coming days.

It is also worth highlighting two players who "Just Missed" the top-10 from this event. MIF John Merk (Nicolet, 2025) is a atheltic up-the-middle defender with sure-handed actions and a strong arm. C Ethan Knoll (Waukesha North, 2024) was one of the most physical prospects in attendance at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds and he swings a heavy right-handed bat that produced exit velocities upwards of 98 mph.
