In August, over 60 players took part in our annual Unsigned Senior Games showcase at Liberty University in Lynchburg. Today, we begin our detailed breakdown of that event with the primary catchers:

 

Nathan Favereaux C / 1B / Woodgrove, VA / 2021 Favereaux has committed to Patrick Henry CC and is 6-0 with a strong athletic frame. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short smooth load back to a slight bar. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill swing with strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a pull preference with easy power that way and ability to work gap to gap, exit velocity was 95. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 71 and pop times 2.04-2.14. Showed some accuracy on his throws.

 

 

Lincoln Lubsen C / RHP / Walsingham Academy, VA / 2021 Lubsen has committed to Randolph-Macon and is 6-3 with an athletic frame that has plenty of strength present and projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill swing with strength at contact and good extension through the ball, showed a pull preference with easy home run power that way and ability to work gap to gap with power as well, exit velocity was 96. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 78 and pop times 1.98-2.12. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Ran a 7.47 60 yard dash.

 

 

Riley Motley C / SS / Christchurch , VA / 2021 Motley has committed to Patrick Henry CC and is 6-4 with an athletic frame that has strength present in the lower half and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open leaned back athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, smooth load down and back. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, very quick to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and good extension through the ball, long levers add leverage, showed a good approach working the middle of the field, easy power to all fields and home run power to pull side, exit velocity was 100. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 75 and pop times 1.98-2.11. Ran a 7.29 60 yard dash.

 

 

Garrett Rhoades C / 3B / Princess Anne , VA / 2021 Rhodes is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a tall relaxed slightly open stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load down and back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path with a strong contact point and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working the middle of the field, doubles power present in the gaps with potential for more, exit velocity was 87. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77 and pop times 1.96-2.04. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Ran a 7.07 60 yard dash.

 

 

Jackson Severt C / OF / Dinwiddie, VA / 2021 Severt has committed to Hampden-Sydney and is 6-1 with a lankier frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down and back. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path with a strong contact point and some extension through the ball, showed a pull approach with power present that way and doubles power in the gaps, exit velocity was 93. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 78 and pop times 1.88-1.94. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Showed versatility taking balls in the outfield where his arm played up to 86. Ran a 7.10 60 yard dash.

 

 

Kaden Spaid C / SS / James Wood, VA / 2021 Spaid is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing with a strong contact point, showed a good approach working gap to gap with doubles power in the gaps, exit velocity was 88. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73 and pop times 2.00-2.09. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Evan Stanley C / 3B / Central (Wise), VA / 2021 Stanley is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short load back to a slight bar. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, uphill swing path with strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap with extra base power to all fields, exit velocity was 91. Behind the plate, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 76 and pop times 1.94-2.06. Showed accuracy on his throws.

 

 

Jon Torre C / OF / Briar Woods, VA / 2021 Torre has committed to Washington & Lee and is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, short leg kick stride on line, short load back to a slight wrap. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap with extra base power to all fields and a chance to have more to pull side, exit velocity was 94. Thomas Watermolen C / OF / Hickory, VA / 2021 Watermolen is 5-10 with a strong athletic frame that some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides in place, short load down and back. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a good approach working primarily up the middle with some extra-base power to his pull side, exit velocity was 79. Behind the plate, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77 and pop times 1.95-2.09. Showed some accuracy on his throws. Ran a 7.35 60 yard dash.
