Snyder Baseball Scout Day: Quick Notes

On Sunday, September 27, Snyder Baseball held a Scout Day with PBR in attendance to take stats and video of all the players that participated. On Monday, we released the Statistical Leaders. Today we give you some quick notes on players who stood out:
Griffin Carroll OF Highland 2022
Carroll ran a 7.05 and showed arm strength in the outfield with a velocity of 85. Some strength at contact with power in the gaps, exit velocity was 93. Still has projection left to his frame and a chance to grow into more power.

Joe Christopher RHP Battlefield 2021 (Bridgewater)
Christopher has an athletic frame that still has projection left to it. He has a crossfire delivery and throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Fastball was 82-84 with some late life. Curveball had some armspeed and shape, 11/5 break and was 66-68.
Blake Cuddington 1B/RHP Highland 2021 (Virginia Wesleyan)
Cuddington has a strong frame and had a solid two-way day. Power was on display at the plate when he launched a home run during the game and posted an exit velocity of 95. On the mound, he was 79-82 with his fastball and showed a curveball that was 66-69 with 11/5 break to it.

Jackson Gimbel RHP Highland 2022
Gimbel has an athletic frame with some strength present and some projection left to it. His fastball was 83-86 touching 87. Showed feel for both offspeed offerings, a late slider at 72-74 and a change-up with good armspeed at 75-76.
Tyler Klus SS/OF Battlefield 2021
Klus had a strong day at the plate, posting an exit velo of 89 with his short swing and finding the barrel in the game. Has some extra base power and potential to add a bit more with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it.

Tyler Kaltreider SS/RHP Highland 2021 (VMI)
Kaltreider had a strong two-way day. Lots of projection left to his lanky frame, has some batspeed and some present power with an exit velo of 94 and room to grow into more power as he fills out. On the mound, was 82-87, touching 88 while also showing a braking ball that was 67-70.

Joe Kramp C Chantilly 2021
Kramp has some projection left to his frame and displayed some gap power at the plate. Longer swing with his long levers generates plenty of juice, exit velo was 90 and still has a chance to grow into more power. Also quick on release behind the plate, pop times were 2.00-2.05.

Remington Lee SS Patriot 2024
Lee has an athletic frame with plenty of projection left to it. Showed barrel ability at the plate and some power already present with an exit velo of 88. A lot to like and definitely a player to watch going forward.

Connor McAuley LHP/OF Highland 2022
McAuley had a strong two-way showing on the day. At the plate, he works gap to gap with some doubles pop. On the mound, he was 79-82, touching 83, while also showing feel for a breaking ball and a change-up.

Blagen Pado OF Battlefield 2022
Pado has plenty of projection left in his frame and showed some loud tools. Speed is present with a 6.90 60 yard dash. Also showed present power with a live exit velo of 95 during his BP round.

George Rizzo OF Highland 2022
Rizzo is another who had a loud toolsy day. Athletic frame with plenty of projection left to it, astest runner on the day a 6.88 on his 60, plays faster. Has batspeed and some power present in gaps, showed an exit velo of 93 during his BP round.

Tucker Williams C Battlefield 2021
Williams has an athletic frame with some strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the left side and has a lot of strength at contact and power present in his swing, exit velo was 97. Quick release behind the plate, pop times were 1.97-2.04.

Eric Wilson 3B Highland 2021 (Charleston Southern)
Wilson has a strong athletic frame with some projection left to it. Strong two-way showing, at the plate is definitely where he will make the most impact at the next level, power present to all fields and plenty of arm strength at third, exit velo was 99. On the mound, was 82-85 with good armspeed on breaking ball that was 72-76.

Dean Winters OF/LHP Patriot 2023
Winters has an athletic frame with a lot of projection left to it. Had a good two-way day, showed some present power at the plate with an exit velo of 90 as well as plenty of pop to grow in to. On the mound, was 79-82, touching 83 with room to add velo as he fills out.
