Mason Posey RHP 2018 (George Mason)
Posey has an athletic frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Short free arm action with some quickness, throws with normal effort. Shoulders are uphill and closed, swings his stride foot into an open landing with a slight fall off finish, some head whack in his delivery as well. Fastball was 82-85, touching 86 with some downward angle and a bit of late sink to it. Was still getting 85 in the third inning so he held his velocity, also was 82-83 in the stretch. Change-up had sink and was thrown with good armspeed at 78. Slider had sharp 11/5 action, slowed his arm a bit to throw them, pitch ran 68-72 and has a chance to be a swing and miss pitch. Got squeezed by a very tight zone, worked down and misses were just a bit low.
