HUNTSVILLE, TX - Here is the fifth installment of the positional analysis from the Texas Senior Games. This event was loaded with uncommitted talent, and a number of players that will be moving up the 2019 Rankings that we will release next week. Today, we bring you the corner infielders, with multiple uncommitted hitters that should find a home soon. 

Corner Bats

Jaxon Alley, OF/3B, Prosper HS, 2019
Hill JC commit. Alley is an all-around athlete with juice in his bat that recently committed to Hill Junior College The right-handed hitter was on the barrel all day. He has loose, strong hands that whip the barrel through the zone and on plane, driving balls from gap to gap with a 90 mph exit velocity. Strong contact during the game in all three at-bats. Long stride runner that plays faster than his 7.1 60-yard dash time. Threw 87 from the outfield with high-end accuracy and carry. Natural baseball actions in both the outfield, and the infield, where moves with smooth footwork, soft hands, and fundamental exchange. No matter where he ends up playing in college, the bat and athleticism provide for intriguing upside.

Cody Pike, OF/3B, Lindale HS, 2019
The North Central Texas JC commit showed why he is already a coveted recruit for the Lions. There is an ease to his game with natural actions in the outfield and simple strength at the plate. Pike has a strong frame at 6-foot, 185-pounds, and generates plenty of bat speed (92 mph) and leverage with fast hands and natural lift as he attacks the inside of the baseball with whip in his barrel. During the game, he scorched a double to left centerfield. In the outfield, Pike threw 88 from the outfield with a quick, low effort arm stroke. On the infield, Pike has quickish footwork and soft hands as he plays low. Clean release with a quick exchange, the arm works well from different slots and threw with a top velocity across the diamond of 84 mph.

Jeffrey David, 3B/SS, Georgetown HS, 2019
The recent Paris JC commit has an athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, with smooth actions on the infield. Ran a 6.82 60-yard dash and posted a 97 mph exit velocity during BP, showcasing strong contact, lift and barrel awareness from a wide base. Plays through the ball with rhythm at shortstop, starts and finishes the double play with ease, and can throw from different arm slots. He crushed a deep fly ball to centerfield during the game and made a fantastic play on defense in a first and third situation, catching the ball on top of the bag at second and throwing a bullet to the plate to get the runner from third.

Dalton Davis, 3B/RHP, Prosper HS, 2019
6-foot, 175-pound, lean-muscular frame. Davis had a solid all-around day, standing out during the positional workout, and on the mound. He ran a 6.82 60-yard dash, laced line drives through the middle of the field during BP with an exit velocity of 98 mph, and threw 87 mph across the diamond. In the game, the right-handed hitter crushed a triple to right-centerfield, and worked a quick inning on the mound. There is natural strength at the plate with a leveraged hack that projects to the next level with good barrel awareness and gap power. Solid actions on the infield with good range, he has plenty of arm strength and can throw from a lower slot with ease to start the double play and make the run-through play. A two-way player, and right-handed pitcher, Davis has a long, loose arm swing from a low, submarine slot, his fastball had good arm side run at 79-81 mph, and he pulled the string on a couple of plus changeups at 69 mph. He also has a curveball that came in at 64 mph with side-to-side 9/3 action.

Nicklaus Baumbach, 1B/3B, Euless Trinity HS, 2019
Baumbach has serious juice at the plate, and great footwork around the bag at first base. Listed at 6-foot, 205-pounds, Baumbach crushed balls to deep centerfield during batting practice, and nuked a double to left-centerfield during the game. He has easy rhythm with loose hands at the plate, and the ball makes a different sound off his barrel with a top exit velocity of 95 mph. Really like the actions at first base, shows polish and feel for playing that spot at the next level.

Carson Booth, 1B/LHP, Brownsboro HS, 2019
Booth has a strong, sturdy frame with broad shoulders at 6-foot, 215-pounds. The left-handed hitter has raw strength at the plate with a 91 mph exit velocity. Starts from a tall stance and has a clean path through the zone with quick hands, the ball sounds different off his bat. Collected two singles during the game, one to right field, one to centerfield, both balls were hit on the button. Good athlete at first base (ran a 7.17 60-yard dash) with smooth footwork around the bag, Booth has soft hands and solid glove action on picks.

Tyler Post, 1B/OF, Johnson HS, 2019
Recent Texas Lutheran commit. Standing 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, Post is a projectable left-handed bat that raised some early morning eyebrows with his round of BP, showing easy power as he ambushed balls with carry and a 94 mph exit velocity. Ball jumped off his bat to deep centerfield and he also showed pull side pop. Post has good lag in the barrel, working on a slightly uphill plane through the zone, creating natural lift as he throws the head with loose hands and a high finish. He singled sharply to centerfield during the game. At first base, he plays low with a wide base and soft hands.

Angel Rodriguez, 3B/1B, Robert E. Lee HS, 2019
6-foot, 255-pound frame. Rodriguez has a polished hit tool, and handled the bat extremely well all day. The right-handed hitter posted the top exit velocity of the event with 104 mph off the tee. He stroked the ball during BP, showing a polished approach and hit tool that will allow him to have an impact at the next level. Rodriguez has quick, strong, loose hands with high end barrel awareness. BP was solid, but it was how he swung it during the game that stood out the most, collecting two singles, one to right field with two strikes, working late to the fastball and hitting the ball on the button. The other was a single he hammered down the third base line as he kept his hands back on a curveball. On the infield, his arm works well from different slots with touch and accuracy.

Ryder Garcia, 3B/RHP, Katy HS, 2019
5-foot-10, 160-pound broad shouldered frame. A two-way player and right-handed hitter, Garcia starts from a balanced, slightly open crouched stance, then loads back smooth as he triggers his hands. Short stride, hip slide weight transfer, inside-out approach as the barrel works on an uphill path with line drive power and a top exit velocity of 84 mph. On the infield, Garcia has soft hands with a smooth exchange into a clean arm swing across the diamond with a top velocity of 76 mph.

Jacob Henigan, RHP/3B, Buffalo HS, 2019
5-foot-10, 185-pound frame. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall, open stance with relaxed rhythm, then loads back smooth as he triggers his hands back and strides forward, landing square with good separation. Loose hands as the barrel gets on plane, working through the zone with lag in his barrel on an upward path. Hard contact in the middle of the field with a top velocity of 84 mph. On the infield, Henigan threw from an over the top slot with a top velocity of 77 mph.

Zeke Holder, 1B/C, St. Joseph HS, 2019
Holder has a strong, sturdy frame at 6-foot-3, 252-pounds. The right-handed hitter starts from a wide, slightly crouched stance, and uses a leg lift for timing as he triggers his hands back. Solid strength in his hands with raw power, he drove several balls deep to centerfield during BP, working on an uphill path to lift the ball with an exit velocity of 88 mph. Simple transfer as he rotates to contact, staying behind his front foot as the barrel extends through contact. At first base, Holder flashes soft hands into a clean exchange and threw 76 mph across the diamond.

Rudy Ibarra, 1B/3B, Baytown Sterling HS, 2019
6-foot, 240-pound, broad shouldered frame. The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance with relaxed hands and flex in his lower half. Smooth load back as he turns his front side inward, shifting his hands down and back, then striding forward, landing square with good separation. Quick-strong hands and clean path through the zone with loose finish, the ball jumps off barrel with a 92 mph exit velocity. Gap approach with future power potential. On the infield, Ibarra has soft hands and flashes smooth footwork as he plays through the ball. Clean arm swing from a ¾ slot with a top velocity of 82 mph across the diamond.

Jack Markee, 1B/OF, Liberty Hill HS, 2019
Markee has a long-limbed, high-waisted frame at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds. The right-handed hitter starts from a stacked, balanced stance, then triggers his hands back early into a front arm bar and takes a short stride. Really strong hands and long arms create a leveraged hack with hard contact and a 92 mph exit velocity. At first base, Markee plays through the ball with soft hands, throws from a high slot with a long arm swing and top velocity of 71 mph.

Noah Reyes, 3B/2B, East View HS, 2019
5-foot-10, 175-pound, muscular frame. Started the day with a 7.01 60-yard dash. The right-handed hitter starts from a tall, neutral stance with his bat on his shoulder. Turns his shoulders in as he shifts his weight back and lifts his hands. Short stride forward, lands balanced, slots the barrel in the zone early, working on an upward path as he rotates his shoulders to contact and transfers his lower half into a firm front side with a high finish and exit velocity of 81 mph. On the infield, Reyes has a quick first step with smooth footwork as he ranges well to his right and left. Soft hands with solid glove action and clean exchange, can throw from different slots and posted a top velocity of 79 mph.
