November 15, 2023
As the fall season is coming to a close and offseason training is in full swing, it’s a perfect time to take a dive into the 2024 rankings. Over the past week many have inked their commitments and the countdown to stepping foot on campus begins. Our staff takes a deep look into the rankings, including a newcomer in the top 10, Duke signee Trevor Johnson (Bellefonte Area), and the rankings expand to 390 prospects.
A few changes within the top 30 as East Carolina Signee RHP Gavin Wray (Archbishop John Carroll) the biggest mover jumps from 25 to 19. St. Johns commit David Rodriguez Jr (Father Judge) another riser as he climbs to No. 13. As well as, a quick look into a few uncommitted prospects still in the Keystone State.

Uncommitted Follows
+ RHP/3B Brock Tanner (Bishop McDevitt) oozes projectability out of his 6-5, 170lb frame. He shines on the mound with FB velos in the up 80's. Tanner was a standout this past preseason at the 5 Star Mason Dixon Scout Day. Has the ability to spin his breaking ball with spin rates nearing 3,000. With a lighning fast arm and an arsenal to get outs, certainly one of the top uncommitted arms left in the class.
‘24 RHP Brock Tanner (Bishop McDevitt) emerged as a spring follow w/ unicorn FB metrics & big carry through zone. Added power-downer CB with strikeout pot. at 6-5, 170lbs.

+ OF/LHP Josh Domaracki (Selinsgrove) has been adding a ton of stregnth over the past year and half now with an electric arm from the OF touching 91mph. Still some potential to be tapped into at the plate, but shows some present strength to the pull side. On the mound Josh found success this past spring and has been seen in the mid-80s.

2024 OF/LHP Josh Domaracki (Selinsgrove) our #22 ranked JR OF. Peak EV of 90mph. OF velo always impressive topping 91mph. Lot of raw strength at the plate, another gear to be unlocked going forward. Intriguing player.@BaseballUPA | @JoshDomaracki pic.twitter.com/wwh2MBBcW8
+ SS Caleb Weidman (Mt. Lebanon) athletically built at 5-10, 180lbs, is solid all around. At the plate stays consistent with hard hit balls over 90mph max of 95mph. Defensively, Caleb showed pace through the fielding process with an arm strength of 85mph.
Solid round from 5’10”, 180-lb ‘24 SS/3B Caleb Weidman (@MtLebanonSports). Largely rotational swing from an upright stance. Some barrel lag in the zone results in consistent exit velos ⬆️ 90 mph (T95). pic.twitter.com/2486SMYgdn

+ C Chase Blanchard (Palmyra) in an already loaded class of strength at the plate, Chase has developed into one of the top bats in the central PA area. Exit velos up to 95mph, bat speed surpassing 80mph combined can create some speical talent. Behind the plate he hovers at 2.00 with a 73mph arm. Chase went on to win 2023 Co-Offesensive POY in the LebCo, and 2023 1st Team all Mid-Penn Selection.
‘24 C/1B Chase Blanchard (Palmyra) featured some innate launch quickness at 6-foot, 195-pounds. Took a couple for a ride to the pull-side, up to 366FT and a 95MPH exit velo.

Uber-athletic 6-2, 190. Strong feel for 3 pitch mix. FB comes out well at 85-87 (~2500 rpm). Tight SL w/ some depth at 75-76. CH down at 80-81. Easy intent, athletic mover, repeatable delivery#IDEast @VanWillner2 pic.twitter.com/exLpABDy78
