Lebanon, TN - The Tennessee State Games was held on September 17th and 18th at Friendship Christian School in Lebanon, TN. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2023-2026 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, participated in defensive evaluations, ran the 60 yard-dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated outings during gameplay and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Sunday.

TN State Games: Top Prospects

Bishop Quarles OF / LHP / Goodpasture Christian, TN / 2024
Position Profile: OF/LHP One of the top players in the 2024 class put together a strong showing and still just scratching the surface of his potential.
Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Lean, athletic frame w/ room to add mass.
Hit: LHH. Relaxed, balanced stance w/ strong base & soft rhythm in hands. Compact load w/ small leg kick. Controls barrel through contact, slightly above average bat speed w/ uphill plane. Spray gap to gap, showing feel for approach in BP & more barrel consistency.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 86.6 mph. 332' max distance. Present gap power & more power to project w/ strength.
Arm: LH. OF-90 mph. Fluid, whippy arm from H 3/4 slot w/ good arm strength and carry.
Defense: Tracks it and sets up the ball well w/ easy range into the gaps. Skilled CF profile defensively.
Run: 6.94 runner in the 60. Easy runner, glides in the outfield.

Korbin Reynolds C / RHP / Clarksville , TN / 2025
Position Profile: C/RHP Big winner from the event, showing huge upside w/ top tier arm strength and bat speed.
Body: 5-10, 180-pounds. Proportional frame w/ strength and wide shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Wide, balanced stance w/ quick toe tap and slight hitch in load. Stays compact. Shows great bat speed and strength w/ good rotation. Whips barrel through the zone w/ uphill plane into strong two handed finish.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 86.6 mph. 346' max distance. Bat speed to dream on with more power to come.
Arm: RH. C-79 mph. Short, quick arm w/ outstanding arm strength and carry. Keeps throws around the bag.
Defense: 1.95-2.02 pop times. Staggered, high stance w/ solid transfers and release. Solid hands/receiving and will throw the body around on blocks.
Run: 7.18 runner in the 60.

Lake Morris LHP / OF / Hendersonville , TN / 2024
Position Profile: LHP Feel to pitch, attacks zone, poise, and presence from the top uncommitted southpaw in the '24 class.
Body: 5-10, 150-pounds. Small, slender build w/ some toned and room to add strength.
Delivery: Easy, quiet delivery w/ repetability. High leg lift into drop n drive lower half, on line w/ square toe landing.
Arm Action: LH. Long, quick arm action, working up to 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.3, 82-84 mph. Slight arm side action w/ life and late bite. Attacks the zone and more in the tank. T2268, 2069 average rpm.
CB: 72-74 mph. Feel for elevated tight, spin w/ depth and swing n miss offering. Varies shape but mostly 2/9 action. T2817, 2720 average rpm.
CH: 76-76 mph. Solid third offering w/ a chance, gets some arm side action. T1631, 1631 average rpm.

Riley Goodman RHP / 3B / Christian Brothers, TN / 2024
Position Profile: RHP Athletic '24 arm, who attacks the zone and good feel for mix. The CBHS ace is one to follow.
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Lean, narrow frame w/ strength & slopped shoulders.
Delivery: Ease and athleticism in quiet delivery. High leg lift into some drift and fall down mound w/ closed toe landing.
Arm Action: RH. Full arm circle working up to 3/4 slot w/ good arm speed.
FB: T86.9, 84-86 mph. Late life w/ arm side run and occasional sink. Good feel w/ location and working both sides of the plate. T2153, 2010 average rpm.
SL: 73-76 mph. Tight, downer action w/ fair bite and flashes of slurve. Landed for strikes and expanded the zone. Garnered several swing n miss as future putaway pitch. T2162, 2027 average rpm.

Keaton Reese RHP / OF / Mt. Juliet , TN / 2023
Position Profile: RHP Skilled uncommitted arm w/ two pitch mix and backend experience.
Body: 6-0, 180-pounds. Compact frame w/ muscular build and athleticism.
Delivery: Rhythm in delivery w/ good tempo. Drop n drive lower half w/ cross fire and square toe landing.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action working up to low 3/4 slot and some recoil.
FB: T87.5, 85-87 mph. Straight movement, but some ride and life up in the zone. Attacks the zone and challenges hitters. T2164, 2022 average rpm.
CB: 71-72 mph. Good shape and fair bite w/ flashes of swing n miss. Late slurvy bite. T2239, 2161 average rpm.
CUT: 76-78 mph. More SL than Cutter. Short 10/4 bite w/ some feel to land. Varies shape, finding more consistency.

Ashton Sulack LHP / Farragut , TN / 2023
Position Profile: LHP Late blooming southpaw w/ big velo jump and looks to be a sound college arm.
Body: 6-3, 165-pounds. Lean, wiry frame w/ tone and great projection. Slopped chest and shoulders w/ slender limbs.
Delivery: Strictly stretch w/ high leg lift and glove tap. Drop n drive lower half, gliding down the slope and open toe landing. Ease in the delivery.
Arm Action: LH. Compact, stabby arm action while hiding the ball and working up to a H 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.1, 82-84 mph. Heaviness w/ some sink action and ASR. T2003, 1924 average rpm.
CB: 72-73 mph. Big slurvy w/ depth and biting 1/7 action. Feel for both sides of the plate and flashes of swing n miss w/ good tunnel off FB. T2454, 2342 average rpm.

Nathan Aguilar SS / 3B / Rockvale, TN / 2023
Position Profile: SS/3B Limited frame and not over toolsy, but just a steady prospect who finds barrels at consistent rate.
Body: 5-9, 190-pounds. Short, round frame w/ strength and limited projection.
Hit: RHH. Tall, upright stance w/ big leg kick and compact load while staying balanced. Generates great bat speed w/ direct hands to ball & feel for barrel. Lot of hard contact in spray to all fields w/ hittability.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 89.1 mph. 347' max distance. Line drive hitter w/ barrels and flashes of gap power.
Arm: RH. INF-80 mph.Short, compact arm action w/ quick release & sliighty above average arm strength.
Defense: Solid footwork w/ quick transfers and release. Good internal clock to make all the plays. Profiles best as 2B/3B at next level.
Run: 7.23 runner in the 60.

Josh Jeffcoat RHP / SS / Eagleville, TN / 2024
Position Profile: RHP Two-pitch projectable '24 arm w/ length and rawness in delivery but potential.
Body: 6-3, 175-pounds. Slender, boney frame w/ lanky arms. Lacks strength in frame, but projection w/ room to add mass.
Delivery: Strictly strecth w/ hands set high and high leg lift. Tall n fall lower half w/ open landing. Pitches from 3B side creating tough angle for RHH.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action w/ high front side, working up to H 3/4 slot.
FB: T85.7, 82-85 mph. Ride in the zone w/ horizontal bite, bearing down on RHH. T2205, 2071 average rpm.
CB: 69-72 mph. Good shape w/ fair bite. 11/5 action w/ flashes of being a swing n miss offering. Landed for strikes. T1977, 1905 average rpm.
CH: 75-78 mph. Development pitch w/ straight action. Kills spin, but a bit firm. T1483, 1428 average rpm.

Reagan McCluskey C / OF / Christ Presbyterian, TN / 2025
Position Profile: C/OF Intriguing young backstop to follow, lacks some athletcism but strength and bat carry him early.
Body: 5-11, 210-pounds. Thick, wide frame w/ good strength in lower half.
Hit: RHH. Narrow, slightly open setup w/ relaxed hands. Leg kick w/ bat tip load. Generates average bat speed w/ uphill plane and strength off the barrel. Tends to dive w/ middle to pullside approach.
Power: 88 max exit velocity, averaged 83.2 mph. 338' max distance. Gap power to project. More consistent hard contact w/ better plane and improved bat speed.
Arm: RH. C-73 mph. Short quick arm action w/ solid arm strength and decent accuracy.
Defense: 2.19-2.25 pop times. Wide base w/ good pre-pitch actions working up through the ball on receiving. Looks to be a solid defender w/ good hands and quick transfers.
Run: 7.81 runner in the 60.

Brady Hendrix SS / RHP / Summit, TN / 2023
Position Profile: SS/RHP Uncommitted Sr., who has two way upside, LHH infielder and bullpen experienced arm.
Body: 6-0, 195-pounds. Propotional, blocky frame w/ strength and athleticism.
Hit: LHH. Narrow, open stance w/ leg kick and compact hand load. Generates above average bat speed w/ solid rotation and middle pull side approach. Uphill plane w/ strong two handed finish.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, averaged 87.4 mph. 355' max distance. Flashes of gap pop w/ some power projection and consistent hard contact.
Arm: RH. INF-76 mph.Long, elbow spiral arm action to low 3/4 slot & solid arm strength.
Defense: Prep step hop, wide base, average transfer w/ solid hands. Sound defender, who will probably slide over to 2B or 3B at next level.
Run: 7.19 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Strictly stretch w/ standard leg lift. Drop n drive lower half, working across his body, & square/slightly open landing.
Arm Action: RH. Compact, stab arm action w/ fair arm speed & low 3/4 slot.
FB: T80.8, 78-80 mph. Good ride thru the zone w/ slight horizontal action. More in the tank. T2409, 2299 average rpm.
CB: 66-67 mph. Slurvy, loose action w/ some deception. Feel for strikes and expand. T2075, 2039 average rpm.
CH: 72-72 mph. Kills spin and slight depth, tunnels well off FB. T1444, 1358 average rpm.

Position Profile: LHP Uncommitted Sr. southpaw w/ feel for three pitch mix and some rawness but legit changeup.
Body: 6-1, 170-pounds. Lean, wiry frame w/ lanky limbs and some projection.
Delivery: Quiet delivery and hands the ball well. Drop n drive lower half w/ some crossfire and closed foot landing.
Arm Action: LH. Long backstroke, working back to the ear into low 3/4 slot. Sling action working around the body.
FB: T84.4, 83-84 mph. Heavy arm side action and life w/ occasional sink. T1994, 1913 average rpm.
SL: 72-74 mph. Casts it out w/ 1/7 action and solid shape. Flashes of bite w/ more potential. T2149, 2062 average rpm.
CH: 75-76 mph. Best secondary offering w/ depth and excellent tunnel of running FB. Feel for fade and depth w/ swing n miss. T1582, 1529 average rpm.

Landon Smelser OF / 1B / Science Hill, TN / 2024
Position Profile: OF/1B Top 80 prospect in the class, making steady improvements to well rounded game.
Body: 6-1, 175-pounds. Tall, lean, narrow frame w/ good projection to build & athleticism.
Hit: LHH. Slightly open, crouched stance w/ small leg kick and slight hand load. Generates great bat speed while sequencing well and maintaining plane. Level swing thru the zone, spraying it around w/ pull side approach.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 79.5 mph. 307' max distance. Line drive hitter w/ flashes of gap pop and future projection.
Arm: LH. OF-82 mph. Fair arm speed w/ stabby drag action at 3/4 slot.
Defense: Solid transfers and above average range. Light feet and moves well, profiles best in corner spot.
Run: 7.16 runner in the 60.

Position Profile: OF/3B Well rounded 2024 prospect who is still scratching the surface w/ pop and arm strength.
Body: 6-0, 190-pounds. Lean, athletic frame w/ broad back and good projection to build.
Hit: RHH. Tall, upright stance w/ some stiffness. Small leg kick and bat tip load w/ slight wrap. Generates great bat speed w/ rotational quickness. Works around the zone into high finish and maintains barrel control w/ middle to pull approach.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 84.3 mph. 344' max distance. Consistent hard contact w/ flashes of power potential.
Arm: RH. OF-86 mph. Short, quick arm action at H 3/4 slot w/ arm strength and carry.
Defense: Solid defender w/ good footwork and fielding it out front. Above average range, profiles as corner OF.
Run: 7.19 runner in the 60.

Jack Wyatt OF / RHP / Clarksville, TN / 2025
Position Profile: OF/RHP Certainly raised his profile, young switch hitter w/ feel for barrel and just picked up hits in bunches during gameplay.
Body: 6-0, 155-pounds. Narrow, slender build w/ athleticism & good porjection to build.
Hit: SH. Similar relaxed stance from both side w/ balanced base. Minimal leg kick w/ simple load. Generates average bat speed w/ uphill plane & high finish. Pull to middle approach, looking to lift the ball into the gap. Favored the left side.
Power: 84 max exit velocity, averaged 77.5 mph. 305' max distance. Lacks pure power, more to come as frame develops more strength.
Arm: RH. OF-79 mph. Short arm action w/ quick release at H 3/4 slot & solid arm strength.
Defense: Some rawness in the outfield, but athleticism balances it out. Corner projection w/ CF potential.
Run: 7.50 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Slow, controlled delivery w/ tall n fall lower hald. Short stride, opening up early w/ open toe landing. Uses little of lower half.
Arm Action: RH. Short, compact arm action w/ elbow crank. Working up to H 3/4 slot w/ fair arm speed.
FB: T77, 75-76 mph. Mostly straight w/ slight arm side at times. T1911, 1746 average rpm.
CB: 66-69 mph. Soft bender w/ 12/6 action and little bite. Feel for zone. T1892, 1788 average rpm.

Body: 5-9, 145-pounds. Lean, slender frame w/ high waist and room to add mass.
Hit: RHH. Wide base stance w/ rock back load & compact hand load. Generates average bat speed w/ level bat path thru the zone. Good rotational sweep, w/ limited lower half use. Line drive spray to all fields.
Power: 82 max exit velocity, averaged 73.2 mph. 258' max distance. Line drive hitter & more pop to project w/ more strength and development.
Arm: RH. INF-79 mph.Length in arm action but fluid and solid arm strength from various slots.
Defense: Smooth actions w/ quick transfers and feel for footwork. Wide base but soft hands and gonna defend at a high level w/ good instincts.
Run: 7.49 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Quick tempo delivery w/ athleticism. Drop n drive lower half, on line, and slightly open/square toe landing.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action w/ some sling action from 3/4 slot.
FB: T81.3, 76-79 mph. Mostly straight w/ slight arm side at times. Chance to spin. T2138, 2027 average rpm.
CB: 63-66 mph. Big shape 12/6 action w/ elevated spin and tilt. Good feel and future projection of power slurve. T2350, 2242 average rpm.
CH: 65-70 mph. Developing pitch, limited action but kills velo. T1459, 1355 average rpm.
