It was so nice that we had to do it twice! The 2023 TN Preseason All-State was held on February 4th-5th at Showtime Sports Academy in Franklin, TN. This event was invite-only that consisted over 100 of the top prospects from the 2023-2026 classes. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more.
We've already ran Quick Hits Vol. 1 while featuring 20 standout prospects and the 2023 TN Preseason All State Showcase was such a talented group that we had to put together another list. Below, we highlight 20 more prospects with a heavy emphasis on underclassmen. Take some time to read up on some up n coming prospects heading into the Spring and prepare for full scouting reports release in the near future.
Quick Hits
Isaiah French, C, Maryville, 2023 (Lee Univ. Commit)
We got a good look at French during the TBCA showcase last summer before committing to Lee University. He's a strong backstop with good arm strength and sound defensive actions. For a boxy frame, he might surprise you by his quickness and overall athleticism. At the dish, he's got easy power with great bat speed. He's got a chance to put together a very strong senior campaign before heading down to Cleveland, TN.
‘23 C @IsaiahFrench13 (@_MHSBaseball; @LeeUBaseball commit) is a very impressive prospect. Physical frame w/ athleticism at 6-1, 195-lb. Great bat speed, good rotation, & on plane w/ easy pop (T 97.5; Avg: 89.8 exit velo). Good arm strength w/ 76 C Velo & T 2.02 pop. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/McQaYLDBYn

AJ Armstrong, SS, Cannon County, 2024
The Cannon County product stands out due to his combination of speed/strength. He's got a boxy frame with strength and continues to improve on his sixty time. He's a high level athlete up the middle that can do damage with the bat. The arm continues to improve and he's solid defensively with a chance to move to the outfield at the next level. He'll be a focal point for the Lions this upcoming season.
‘24 SS @AJArmstrong2024 (@LionsBaseballCC) has a physical frame w/ athleticism (6.71 sixty). Great bat speed w/ solid rotation. Heavy dose of line drives w/ gap power (T 97; Avg: 90.7 exit velo). Average defender up the middle & accurate arm (77 INF). @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/akDBnXpJow

Carter Casabella, RHP, Station Camp, 2024
The Bison ace sure looks the part as he has a long, projectable frame and athletic delivery. Loose, whippy arm with good hand speed. The FB has good action and bears down on RHH. The CH has a good tunnel off the FB and he can land for strikes. SL had more cut action, but is firm and shows flashes as he'll develop more feel as the year progresses. Casabella has the chance to be a breakout arm this Spring and draw in a solid crowd of D1 coaches.
‘24 RHP @CarterCasabella (@SCHSBisonBB) has lean, athletic frame at 6-3, 175-lb. Long, loose arm action, low 3/4 slot. FB: 86-88 w/ heaviness & ASR/sink. Solid feel for CH at 80-81 w/ some fade. Developing SL at 78-81 (T 2022 rpm) w/ more cut action. @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/LzLtRWML1P

Charles Evans, C, St. Michaels Academy (TX), 2024
The Junior backstop flew in from Texas for the weekend and he turned in a memorable showing. He posted the top pop time in event. He's got good arm strength and had some of the most accurate throws in the event. At the plate, he's got a strong frame and provided a heavy dose of hard contact. Evans continues to show improvement across the board and will be a backstop to follow as he plays for the Knights locally in the summer.
‘24 C Charles Evans (@imcharlieevns; St Michaels Aca.) has a proportional frame w/ present strength. Advanced bat speed, peppering line drives w/ some gap pop (T 95.6; Avg: 88.8). Solid receiver & accurate, strong arm (T 1.97; C Velo: 77). @PBR_Uncommitted @PBR_Texas #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/K1U30Gof1G

Hunter McLemore, RHP, Chester County, 2024
The Chester County ace was coming straight off a basketball game from the night before and showed his potential for this Spring. The frame has continued to lean up with strength and still shows some projection. His FB showed arm side action and similar velocities from our look late Spring 2022. It's easy to project a bump during this upcoming season and he showed great feel for both off-speed offerings, which will continue to improve as he gets 100% into baseball shape after basketball concludes.
‘24 RHP @HunterMcLemore3 (@CC_EaglesBSB) looked pretty sharp in mid-basketball season bullpen at #TNPAS23. 6-3, 200-lb proportional frame Long, quick arm H3/4 slot. Low spin FB at 84-86 w/ heaviness & slight ASR. Feel for low 70s CB (T2128 rpm) & fade CH 77-78. @PBR_Uncommitted pic.twitter.com/7eGpqllQP9

Erimel Rosado, SS, Centennial, 2024
A fresh face to the Tennessee landscape after moving in from Puerto Rico this past summer. Rosado showed the ability to defend at a high level with smooth actions and great speed. He's got strength in his frame and more room to fill out. He hit a solid BP round and showed glimpses of gap power potential. Still don't think that he put together his best showing overall, but he's showing the potential to explode on coaches radars this upcoming Spring.
First look at ‘24 SS Erimel Rosado (@eriimel21_; @CHSCougarDC), who is new to TN. 6-1, 188-lb proportional frame w/ strength. Above avg bat speed, spraying liners w/ middle approach (T 91; Avg: 83.6). 6.85 runner, 84 INF velo w/ good actions defensively. @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/4cJ89ruSSJ
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 7, 2023
Jake Truitt, RHP, Goodpasture Christian, 2024
Lot of chatter surrounding Truitt heading into the event, and he certainly lived up to the expectations. He's got a lean, very projectable frame with plenty of room to add mass. The FB comes out the hand clean with good life. The CB has fair bite, but is firm and should continue to develop more feel this Spring. CH has some fade, which plays well off the running FB. We've seen Goodpasture churn out quality arms over the past few years and Truitt seems to be the next one waiting in the wings.
First look at ‘24 RHP @jake5truitt (@baseballgcs) and lot of upside. Lean, wiry frame at 6-4, 160-lb. Long arm action, H 3/4 slot, & glides down the slope. FB at 84-87 w/ life & slight horizontal bite. CB: 75-78 w/ fair bite. CH: 78-79 w/ some fade. @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/EKljQOkmQg
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 8, 2023
Tyler Zeligman, RHP/C, White House Heritage, 2024
We've gotten a couple of looks at Zeligman over the past year as a backstop prospect. The arm talent always stood out in those evaluations and this summer he started to be more of a force on the mound. It's still a bit raw, but he's got a great baseline and will continue to improve as he gets more comfortable. The FB rides through the zone and he had great feel, just filling up the zone with the offering. CH is his best secondary pitch at the time as he plays off the FB well. The SL is firm and flashes upside, but still developing feel.
‘24 RHP/C @Tylerzeligman99 (@whhbaseball) is an intriguing arm and fairly new to the mound. Proportional frame w/ full arm circle, H 3/4 slot. FB at 85-87 (T 2228 rpm) w/ ride (Avg: 20 IVB) & slight ASR. Good action CH: 76-78 & developing SL 72-76. @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/KFSTj83SqD

AJ Greene, INF, Collierville, 2025
The Collierville product is a 3x Jr Future Gamer and got to see limited time for the Dragons last Spring. He's got great instincts and high baseball IQ to go along with a strong work ethic. He's continued to add strength and mass to his frame while improving his athleticism. He posted a significant improvement in his sixty and continued to show feel for barrels. High level rotator in his swing and great pop with middle to pull side approach. Interesting to see what position Greene will stick at long term as he has a chance to bounce around the infield and reports are we may see him behind the plate this Spring as well.
‘25 INF/C AJ Greene (@AJGreen15153257; @CvilleBaseball_) is just a ball player. Continues to get stronger/more athletic. Above avg bat speed w/ lot of rotation acceleration. Middle to pull side pop (T 94.7; Avg: 88.6). 7.18 runner, 87 INF velo, and solid actions. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/Q3mMTMAUVJ

Nolan Maloney, OF, Grace Christian Academy, 2025
The speedy outfielder posted a new Swift lasers record for Tennessee since we adopted the product last summer. However, it's not just the speed that stands out as we saw him post strong numbers on the jump mat athletic testing as well. He's continued to improve as a switch hitter, finding more barrel consistency from both sides to go along with the pop. He's had a limited role for GCA due to their overall depth, but this season has the potential to be a breakout season and really get to showcase his game on a more consistent basis.
‘25 OF Nolan Maloney (@GCALionBSB) is a switch hitting, speedy prospect. Lean, athletic frame at 6-0, 165-lb. Good bat speed, peppering line drives (T92.8; Avg: 84.6) w/ middle to pull side approach. Set all time best 6.48 sixty on @GetWithSwift lasers. #TNPAS23 @PBR_Uncommitted pic.twitter.com/ctdwXwKiLq

Nate Webb, 1B, Pope John Paul II, 2025
The big body first baseman is climbing up the raw power conversations for the 2025 TN class. He's got solid athleticism and sound footwork around the bag. He posted some of the top bat speed in the event without sacrificing any bat to ball skills. Webb has a chance to slug at a high clip and will certainly be the first baseman to watch early in the class.
‘25 1B @Natewebb_13 (@JPIIAthletics) loves mashing baseballs. Big, physical frame w/ present strength at 6-3, 218-lb. Big time bat speed (Avg: 83.4) w/ ease & good hand speed. Thumps balls gap to gap (T 101.6; Avg: 89.5). Top 1B in 2025 TN class. @PBR_Uncommitted #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/9xCndGTFO4
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 7, 2023
Owen White, C/RHP, MTCS, 2025
I really liked the upside of White as a two-way prospect. The swing really works with good bat speed and bat to ball skills. The arm strength plays behind the plate as he'll continue to fine tune things there. After completing the position player workout, he jumped on the mound and spun the mess out of the baseball. FB velo is gonna continue to rise while the CB/SL are similar in velo, but great spin upside as he showed feel for both. He's a 2025 that could be climbing the board as the Spring unfolds.
‘25 C/RHP @OwenWhite25 (@mtcsbaseball) showing 2-way upside at #TNPAS23. Proportional frame w/ strength. Good bat speed & lot of barrels (T95; Avg: 88.7). Solid arm strength (76 C Velo; T2.05 pop). FB 80-83 (T2218 rpm) w/ ASR. Feel for CB 70-73 (T2476 rpm) & SL 72-74 (T2372 rpm). pic.twitter.com/sV5a27SoP3
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 15, 2023
Cade Allen, RHP, South Gibson County, 2026
The righty may be the biggest winner for the 2026 TN class from the event. Sure, he posted the best velocity among his peers, but it was the feel for arsenal and pitch ability that stood out. The FB jumps out the hand with a high induced vertical break. SL is firm with solid bite and spin upside. The CH could be special, certainly advanced action and command. Allen was able to attack the zone with all three pitches while playing off each other well while executing to expand the zone if needed. Allen is an arm to circle in the 2026 class for college recruiters.
First look for ‘26 RHP @cade_allen7 (@SGCBaseball) at #TNPAS23. Clean arm action & great feel for three pitch mix. FB: 83-85 (T 2354 rpm) w/ life and ride (Avg: 23 IVB). SL at 75-76 (T 2361 rpm) w/ fair bite. Advanced CH 74-76 w/ good fade & depth. @PBR_Uncommitted @prepbaseball pic.twitter.com/yblfj7Vntq
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 7, 2023
Jake Harris, C, Farragut, 2026
There is just something that stands out about Harris's game. The class is seems to be very deep at catcher, but the lefty bat makes him stand out from his peers. He's well rounded defensively with good actions behind the plate and the arm strength continues to improve. The bat has significant pop now and can project more as he fills out and adds strength. He'll have some time to wait for a loaded Farragut team, but this freshman shouldn't be overlooked in the process.
‘26 C @JakeHarris0026 (@AdmiralGameday) really stands out as young backstop. Above avg bat speed w/ uphill plane & strong thru contact. Heavy dose of line drives w/ flash of gap pop (T 89; Avg: 85.4) from left side. Solid defender & arm strength (74 C Velo; T 2.05 pop). #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/CjMof9Fhg7

Cooper Nebben, RHP/SS, Clarksville, 2026
The Clarksville native appeared at the 2021 Jr. Futures Games for Team TN and he stood out as one of the better players in that group at the time. Last year, he was limited due to some arm issues, but those seem to be in the rearview mirror now as he was in the low 80s on the mound. He's got a wiry frame with good athleticism to go along with the actions to stick up the middle. He's certainly a high level two-way prospect in the class and he's still just scratching the surface of his potential at this point.
‘26 RHP/SS @CooperNebben (@ClkHighBaseball) was limited on the mound last summer, but continued to develop. Athletic, wiry frame. Long loose arm. FB: 80-82 w/ slight ASR. CB: 67-68 (T 2113 rpm) & CH: 76-77. 7.27 sixty & good bat speed w/ pop to project (T 91; Avg: 84.8). #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/2tBqXEIoW9
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 15, 2023
Harrison Pollina, OF/RHP, Munford, 2026
The top ranked freshman at the TN Preseason All State and he continued to prove why he's slotted at no.10. It's a lean frame with good athleticism and tons of room to fill out/add mass. He's still finding his groove with the swing as his body is still changing, but there is some upside positionally as he can run and potentially defend at a high level. He currently leans more towards the mound where he shows feel for a three pitch mix and plenty more in the tank moving forward. Expect to be a plug in play for state tourney participant Munford this Spring and should certainly be on recruiters radars at this point.
‘26 OF/RHP @HarrisonPollina (@win2daybaseball) had a nice showing at #TNPAS23. Lean, athletic frame at 6-3, 170-lb. Spraying line drives w/ more pop to project (T 84.3; Avg: 80.2). 7.13 sixty & 87 OF Velo. FB at 82-84 (T 2324 rpm) w/ life. CB: 68-70 (T 2502 rpm) & fade CH: 76-78. pic.twitter.com/1JPaGEvFAG
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 14, 2023
Ryan Riojas, MINF, MBA, 2026
The MBA product made his PBR debut at PBR Jr Future Games last summer and put together a great showing as a utilityman. He can switch hit with good feel for the barrel and pop to project. Defensively, he's towards the top tier as far as actions. He's gonna defend at a high level, especially at 2B for MBA this Spring, with a chance to move over to SS down the road. Riojas will be an immediate impact player this season in a loaded D2-AA region.
‘26 MINF @RyanRiojas19 (@MbaAthletics) is just solid all around. Handles the bat from both sides, peppering line drives (T 86.3; Avg: 79.3) w/ more pop to project. Smooth actions defensively w/ reliable hands & accurate arm. Lean, proportional frame w/ room to add mass. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/8NWrsBvlfb
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 9, 2023
Nick Riordan, SS, Knoxville Central, 2026
Some buzz surrounding Riordan as a fresh face coming out of East TN. Lot to like about the swing as it's a clean path with some bat speed and more power to project. He's very lean, but ran really well and had the actions to back it up defensively. He'll need to sharpen up the backhand a bit, but outside of that another middle infielder with a chance to defend at a high level long term. He should figure into the mix for Knoxville Central this Spring and I'd expect some more follow interest as the year unfolds.
‘26 SS @NickRiordan4 (@KnoxCentralBSBL) has a lean, wiry frame at 5-10, 145-lb w/ athleticism. Above avg bat speed w/ good barrel feel & developing pop (T 87.1; Avg: 81.2 exit velo). 7.25 runner, sound actions up the middle, and accurate arm from various slots. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/eacMoh2gOL
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 7, 2023
Gunner Skelton, SS/RHP, Columbia Academy, 2026
Skelton is a 2x Jr Future Gamer with Team TN over the past few summers and the bat is always what stands out. He doesn't run particularly well and the defensive actions are very solid, but we're seeing a big jump in his development over the winter. He continues to showcase a nice smooth stroke with an advanced approach. On top of that, he's progressed as a pitcher with another velocity jump and solid four pitch mix with upside. Although he's a freshman, Skelton is ahead of the curve playing significant varsity time as an 8th grader and that role will continue to expand over the next few years.
‘26 INF/RHP Gunner Skelton (@gunner15_; @CABulldogBB) continues to improve as 2-way prospect. Above avg bat speed w/ lotta line drives (T 89.2; Avg: 83.7). 83 INF velo, improved 60, & sound actions. Feel for mix & strike thrower. FB: 82-84 CB: 69-71 CH: 75-77 CUT: 78-79. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/7bcT2m3BTc
— PBR Tennessee (@PBRTennessee) February 8, 2023
Rhett Slagle, RHP/3B, Elizabethton, 2026
Slagle is another buzz name prospect out of deep East TN and doubles as a QB for the Cyclones. He's got present strength and athleticism for a corner prospect. He thumped the baseball around during his BP round and put together a solid showing defensively. Jumped on the mound and tickled 84 with the FB to go along with a nice breaking ball and fair CH. Interesting to see how his future unfolds as a high level dual sport prospect, but another plug n play freshman at Elizabethton.
‘26 RHP/3B @SlagleRhett (@betsybaseball1) has big 2-way upside & present strength at 6-1, 185-lb. FB: 82-83 T84 (T2268 rpm). CB: 71-73 (T2153 rpm) w/ good shape & CH: 75-78 w/ some fade. bat speed & line drives w/ pop upside (T92.3; Avg: 86.6). 7.46 sixty & 80 INF velo. #TNPAS23 pic.twitter.com/cpxibDyaG1
