Several prospects pick their schools

Steven Giannoni, who is one of the top catchers in the Class of 2010, has committed to Northwestern University. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Giannoni has been a three-year standout at Whitney Young HS in Chicago. As a junior, Giannoni hit .405 with 22 RBI in helping the Dolphins to a Chicago Public League runner-up finish.

Al Robbins, a left-handed hitting middle infielder from West Chicago HS, has committed to University of Illinois-Springfield.
Noah King, a catcher from No. 1-ranked Harrisburg, has committed to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
Jonathan Huisel, a 6-foot-5 RHP from Carmel Catholic HS, has committed to College of Wooster.
Colt Garrett, a RHP/1B from Mounds Meridian HS, has committed to Southeastern College.
Shane Herschelman, a RHP/INF from Ryamond Lincolnwood HS, has committed to Maryville University in St. Louis.
Brian Doll from Greenville HS, has committed to Southwestern Illinois College.
Prairie State landed three more prospects: Joe Sadowski, a 2B from St. Laurence HS, Cody Smith, a RHP/1B from TF South HS, and Chris Berardi, a RHP/OF from Andrew HS.
Zach Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound RHP from Thomas More HS in Champaign, has announced he will walk-on at Texas Tech University. Johnson is 6-1 this season.
Brad Porter, a middle infielder for Plainfield North HS, has committed to St. Francis University .
