Notes
Duke commit Andre Modugno (Don Bosco Prep) leads the way in the first edition. The physicality stands out with Modugno, a 6-foot-4 corner infielder with feel for the barrel from the right side. Uncommitted RHP Daviel Fernandez (Gloucester Catholic HS, NJ) is another physical 6-foo 202-pounder with a quick arm. He was up to 86 mph this winter and has contributed in big ways for Gloucester Catholic on the mound this spring. RHP Gavin Soares (Northern Highlands HS, NJ) has had a solid spring season so far as well. The 6-foot-2 190-pound lanky righty was up to 88 at the Northeast Supreme Scout Day, and in late April was 83-86 and flashed feel for a downer breaking ball with tight spin at 72-76.
Again, the 2024 rankings have just started, but these 70 players in New Jersey made a solid first impression going into the summer of 2021.
