Scouting Report
We first saw MacLeod at the Rising Stars event last summer, and the 2023 North Shore Twins catcher repeated many things that excited us before. Macleod has good pop from the right side of the plate and a repeatable and easy load. His Exit Velocity was among the best on the day at 88 MPH. He is one of the most electric 2023's in the class, and he has a real passion for the position. His POPs were right around 2.00-2.10 with a decent 73 MPH positional velocity. He also plays a good third base, with good footwork and an adequate arm across the diamond. MacLeod will be a fun follow throughout his High School playing career, and with added strength, could be a bonafide prospect.

MacLeod, 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, is a very interesting catching prospect out of the North Shore Twins program and represented Canada last summer at the Future Games. In the box, MacLeod shows a smooth, easy swing with power potential and balls jumping off his bat. He starts in a tall, quiet, slightly open stance, and has a small leg kick as he gets on time with the pitch. He’s been up to 95.4 mph exit velo. Defensively, he shows good footwork and gets rid of the ball quickly with accurate throws around the bag. His pop times sit in the 1.93-2.08 mph range with throws at 78 mph. Still just a 2023, MacLeod is a very intriguing catcher on the West Coast and should be someone college coaches have on their radar this coming season.
