No. 1 Noah Naylor C / SS / St. Joan of Arc, ON / 2018
5.11.17 Scouting Report Cold and rainy day this year, Naylor still put up numbers we are used to seeing as he ran a 6.84 sixty and a 1.87 pop time behind the dish. The transfer to and from glove is quick and throws had life out the hand and did so under control in lower half with a quick arm out front. Feet stay underneath him, hands receive but can still continue to develop. Above average defender in the infield as well. Smooth actions and shows his athleticism, arm is quick and easy with all kinds of life. Didn't get much to hit in game, lots of off-speed and showed patience but still attacked good pitches in the zone. Rhythm to swing, free and easy with barrel awareness. Generates bat speed and backspin's the baseball. Will snap hook a few at times but Naylor is more hit than power but the power has good chance to come at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds. The Texas A&M commit will be a potential early pick in 2018 with the jury still out on whether it is behind the dish or in the infield. 60 Yard Dash: 6.84 Pop Time: 1.87 C Velocity: 81 Exit Velocity: 94 INF Velocity: 84

No. 2 Jaden Brown SS / 2B / St. Marcellinus, ON / 2019
7.24.17 Scouting Report Brown has made big strides over the past year and continues to look like an exciting young prospect. Beginning to grow into his frame, but still lots of room left to fill out. Explosive at the plate. Very fun to watch in batting practice as Jaden shows very quick hands, generates very impressive bat speeds, and the ball explodes off his bat. Subtle leg kick, loads quietly on his back foot as he brings his hands back into a proper launch position and explodes towards the ball. Drives bat through the zone with two hands, as he transfers his weight over onto his front side. Had a few impressive rounds of batting practice at the Rogers Centre where he showed off some juice in his bat and hit one into the left field bullpen. Still raw at short, but hands work, has a strong arm, throws have life, and displays great athleticism. Brown separates himself with the explosiveness and athleticism in his game and is the top prospect in 19' class.

2.5.17 Scouting Report Cincinnati recruit. 6-foot-2, 175-pound left-handed hitting shortstop; rangy athletic build with wiry strength, overall high level of projection in the frame. Offensively, he has loose, athletic hands, generates easy bat speed with a simple, repeatable swing and advanced pre-pitch rhythm while maintaining balance through contact. Easy line-drive approach with power potential as he physically matures; registered 89 mph exit velocity with wood. Athletically, he’s a fluid strider, ran a 6.78 laser-timed 60, looks like a trained track athlete in his movements. Natural athleticism shined defensively, showing excellent range and hands, capped by a highlight-reel sliding play up the middle in which he popped up and fired a strike to first base. Has all the requisite skills to stick at shortstop. Was clocked at 85 mph across the infield. Will be on scouts radar for the upcoming draft in June. 60-Yard dash: 6.78 Exit Velocity: 89 INF Velocity: 85

No. 4 Ben Abram RHP / Georgetown District, ON / 2018
11.10.17 Scouting Report Abram is now 6-foot-7, 210-pounds with added strength and a physical presence on the mound with his size. The Oklahoma commit has been on the radar for a few years now, but he’s taken steps forward in 2017, clipping 89 mph at Tournament 12 this past September, while sitting in the 85-87 range. The Junior National Team member has also grown a little since pitching in Jupiter a year ago, and has begun to flourish into a polished pitcher who pounds the zone with the confidence to throw all his pitches. The delivery is controlled with an easy tempo, fastball will show good downhill plane when he is on time and outfront, curveball works in mid to high 70's and he will get late bite and down action, changeup works from same slot as fastball and has improved command this past year. Still room to gain strength, many will be following Abram with the National team in March and April this 2018.

5.11.17 Scouting Report The big right-hander has continued to improve and become more comfortable with his delivery, arm action has smoothed out and fastball was up to 90 mph on a cold, windy day. Threw some overhand curveballs with depth and 12/6 shape that had late biting action at 75 mph. Uses size to work downhill and create good angles, made quick work of hitters and used breaking to finish and put guys away. Top pitching prospect in the 2018 class.

5.11.17 Scouting Report Leach, the top amateur prospect in the country worked three innings at the ProCase, showing off a repeatable delivery and working mainly with his fastball/slider combo. Came out the gates with a 94 mph heater, Leach struck out 8 of the 14 hitters he faced, overpowering guys with his fastball and a slider that worked between 82-85 mph with late tilt and biting action. Limited viewing of his changeup, he did throw one which was a swing and miss with late diving action at 80 mph. Missed barrels and kept the ball on the ground, did struggle in the third with his fastball command, he was able to get back on track and struck out his last batter with another 94 mph fastball on his last pitch of the day. Leach looks to be a high pick come June and potential to be the first Canadian off the board.

5.11.17 Scouting Report Clarke is an athletic build that will continue to develop physically at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds. Was not an ideal day with weather conditions for ProCase with bitter cold winds but Clarke showed good bat path during BP while the arm strength improved from the outfield as he was 84 mph. The long legged Clarke moves well as he has run multiple 6.65 and 6.68 in the past and shows the hand eye you look for at the plate. The power has a chance to come as he matures physically and the tools are there to make Clarke a special player in the 2018 class. 60-Yard Dash: 6.95 Exit Velocity: 86 OF Velocity: 84

10.20.17 Scouting Report Black is now a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect as the left-hander shows bat speed and gap power at the plate with lots of hard contact. Smooth actions defensively with a quick arm and arm strength. Profiles more as a second or third baseman at next level. Runs well and plays with energy. One of the top left-handed bats in the '18 class.

6.14.17 Scouting Report Athlete with quick twitch. Bat path stays through hitting zone and barrels up baseball with gap to gap power right now. Flashes leather defensively with more than enough arm across the infield. 7.00 runner but plays up in game. Instincts with aggressive style of play. Top prospect in the infield in the 2018 class. 60-Yard Dash: 7.00 Exit Velocity: 93 INF Velocity: 91

Zachary Cameron RHP / 3B / Bishop Ryan, ON / 2019
11.3.17 Scouting Report Cameron has had himself a coming out party this year on the mound and although the numbers from Scout Day were not his best, he still shows the tools and actions you look for in the strong 5-foot-11, 200-pound frame. Cameron swung the bat with intent and authority from a slightly open stance and small stride. He will cut his swing off at times but did show strength and some bat speed with a 92 mph exit velo. Adequate defender who looks to play the corners either in the infield or outfield but profiles best on the mound with a loose, 3/4 arm with whippy actions and has been up to 85 mph in the past. He throws strikes with all three pitches and creates natural movement which induces weak contact and balls on the ground. A busy summer, Cameron will look to have a strong winter and come out firing with some impressive numbers in 2018.
