Another 2015 commitment and other recruiting news

Another Class of 2015 prospect named his school recently when OF/RHP Chris Botsoe from St. Laurence HS verbally committed to Louisville. The wiry 6-foot, 175-pound Botsoe is a top-level athlete and is currently ranked No. 25 in Illinois’ 2015 class.

Zach Trusk, a strong-armed catcher from Plainfield North HS, has committed to Rose-Holman. Trusk is currently ranked No. 114 in Illinois’ 2013 class. At the PBR Top Prospect Showcase in June, he registered pop times between 1.98-2.04.
Grant Anderson, an athletic OF from Deer Creek-Mackinaw HS, has committed to Iowa Wesleyan. The 6-foot-1 Anderson, who ran a 6.72 60 at a PBR event, will play both baseball and football at Iowa Wesleyan.
Mesa CC in Arizona landed two more Illinois players when it received commitments from OF/1B Callahan Moltzan (Willowbrook HS) and OF James Sheldon (Downers Grove North HS). Moltzan is a strong-bodied 6-foot, 185-pound left-handed hitter who is currently ranked No. 125 in Illinois’ 2013 class.
Moltzan and Sheldon join Lemont C Bill Hayes in Mesa CC’s recruiting class.
Black Hawk College secured two more commitments from: Jake Viane, a 6-foot-5 left-handed hitting catcher from Moline HS, a Brian King, a 6-foot-3 RHP from Sherrard HS.
Greg Davis, an outfielder from Maine East HS, has committed to Robert Morris University.
