Player Of The Week: RHP Troy Balko
March 6, 2018
2018 RHP Troy Balko of Sunrise Mountain HS has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Arizona Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance on the mound.
The UNLV commit dominated rival Liberty HS last Thursday, throwing 6 shutout innings. Balko gave up only a single hit, a swinging bunt, with 1 BB and 1 HBP while striking out 11. Balko also went 2-3 with 2 RBI's in the big early season matchup.
For his efforts, Balko has been named the Prep Baseball Report Arizona Player of the Week for the week of February 26 – March 4.

Scouting Report
9/27/17 - 6’3, physically very immature, lots of room to get stronger and add velo. Worked 83-87 with his fastball and generally commanded it in the zone. Slider was best pitch and showed good tilt and depth at 77 mph.
