PBR Junior Future Games: Team Georgia Game 2 Recaps
July 30, 2022
Team GA 13u 3, Team Kentucky 15
Team GA 13u’s bats struggled to get going in this early morning matchup against Kentucky and were unable to find a groove against a good Kentucky team. Flush this one, and on to the next game.

Caleb Hudson : 1-1 with a HR to LF
Caleb Hudson, OF, Carrollton, 2027
Uncommitted. Hudson has shown out in his first two games at the plate going 4-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a HR. The athleticism jumps off the page during every single AB and the speed on the base paths is nothing to shy away from. This is a future + runner with already advanced instincts+approach at the plate. Not to mention the power potential he has already displayed. Intriguing talent who will only be entering his 8th grade year.
‘27 SS/OF Caleb Hudson (@1trojanbaseball) continues to show out at the JFGs, as he sends this one deep and outta here for a solo homer!

Smooth, repeatable swing w/ great rhythm and timing. Loud tools with more in the tank as he matures.@prepbaseball | @ShooterHunt | #PBRJFG22 pic.twitter.com/RgzTlALktw
Team GA 14u1 5, Team Indiana 5
Indiana’s starting pitcher, Tate Troxell, would come out firing at 85-89 T90 with the FB and proved difficult for us to hit early on in the game. With great pitching by Sam Moore and Branson Crawford, the Indiana lead was held in check for Georgia to make a comeback in the later innings scoring 4 in the final two.
-
Christian Starks: 1-1, 2 RBI, 1 walk
-
Mason Meehan: 1-3, 1 R, 1 RBI
-
Branson Crawford: 2.0 IP, 2 ER, 1 BB
-
Sam Moore: 2 IP, 1 ER, 2 Ks
Branson Crawford, RHP, Gainesville, 2026
Uncommitted. Crawford shows a lot of athleticism on the bump+raw mechanics that will eventually lead to higher velo in the future. The FB sat 80-82 T84 w/ late 2 seam direction/life. Mixed in a short gyro SL in the low 70’s that showed decent feel. The SL will only get better as the arm speed+strength progresses!
#uncommitted ‘26 RHP Branson Crawford sitting 80-82 T84 working in and out to hitters.Athletic mover+aggressive front side lander allows arm to work efficiently. Short downer CB in the low 70’s that tunnels well off FB plane. Will throw hard in future ✅⬆️ #PBRJFG22 @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/hv8Xqykr0H

Mason Meehan, C/3B, West Forsyth, 2026
Uncommitted. The catcher came through in a big way for Team Georgia with a go ahead RBI triple. He looks confident and relaxed at the plate. He lands with big separation. His fast hands extend well through contact. Driving the ball to all fields with ease. Big power potential and a bat to keep an eye on.
#uncommitted ‘26 C Mason Meehan. (@GeorgiaJackets). Another big RBI triple for Team Georgia. Lands with big separation. Extends well through contact. Driving this ball the other way. Hands staying inside baseball. Putting Team Georgia up 5-3 here. #PBRJFG22 pic.twitter.com/hMGZIZ6uLK

Mason Cosaro, OF/LHP, Lambert, 2026
The outfielder had a big day for Team Georgia, leading off the 6th inning with a clutch triple to deep right to start a late inning comeback. Good presence in the box. Athletic toe tap to start the forward move. His front clears hard to make way for his hands. Good knee to knee drive. He has a swing that produces backspin and he can drive it to all fields. Projectable build.
#uncommitted ‘26 OF/LHP Mason Corsaro. (@Official_ECB). Big triple to lead off the 6th inning. Front hip clears hard to make way for hands. Swing that produces backspin. Driving it to all fields. Ended up scoring the tying run later for Team Georgia. #PBRJFG22 pic.twitter.com/HsvFtndKxW

Team GA 14u2 7, Team Pacific Northwest 1
The bats were ALIVE for this game against PNW and contact was consistently produced throughout the lineup. The hitters took an aggressive approach into this game early in the count which led to many balls put in play and generation of runs. This game was the epitome of a team effort with several players contributing to the W under the lights.
-
Reece Grodeman: 3 IP, 3Ks, 0 ER, 1 BB…1-1, Triple, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 walk
-
Maverick Chitwood: 1-1, 1 RBI, 1 walk
-
Robert Bock: 1-1, 1 RBI
Reece Grodeman, RHP/3B, Cartersville, 2026
Uncommitted. The 3B sealed the deal with a deep drive to center field for a one hop RBI triple. Ball really jumping off his bat. He starts tall and stays tall. Gets good separation. Sinks into backside well. Line drive swing with a lot of pop. Looked good on the mound in game 1 as well up to 85 with the fastball.
#uncommitted ‘26 RHP Reece Grodeman comes out firing to start the game sitting 82-84 T85 w/ the FB that shows sink+run ⬇️ Bore ⬆️. Mixing in a short, late sweeping SL that stays on HZ plane in the 74-77 range. Showed low 70’s depth profile CH in warmups! @ShooterHunt #PBRJFG22 pic.twitter.com/eaylMZ4oyV

Getting it done both on the mound and at the plate! Gets good separation. Creates a lot of barrel lag to drive this ball for a 1 hip triple to deep center. Sealed the deal on a 6-1 win for Team Georgia #PBRJFG22 https://t.co/2Xiv47dp1L pic.twitter.com/UsbdXbKMqo

Tyler VanSumeren, OF/LHP, Tift County, 2026
Uncommitted. One of the most fluid and whippy swings we have for Team Georgia. He has a relaxed and balanced hand set up. Love the rhythm he has in his hands. Gets a great stretch between his upper and lower half. Barrel path is efficient and creates backspin. Hammered the ball at 95+ exit velocity. Very projectable swing.
#uncommitted ‘26 Tyler VanSumeren

- Relaxed+balance hand set w/ great rhythm in hands before load. Creates immense stretch between upper&lower half resulting in crazy bat speed and EV’s! 95mph on this ? #PBRJFG22 pic.twitter.com/XXtaJEtxlp
Timothy Clark, OF/RHP, OLA, 2026
Uncommitted. The athleticism and approach stand out. Hunting fastballs and not missing when he gets them. The front hip clears aggressively and early. The back elbow drives his hands through the zone. Hustle type player stretched a single into a double for Team Georgia and was covering a large range in the outfield. Super confident on the field.
#uncommitted ‘26 OF Timothy Clark crushes one through the left side of the infield for a hustle double on the miscue in LF. Athleticism and approach stand out! Hunts FB early in count every AB. #PBRJFG22
