The PBR Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event that will feature the best uncommitted players in the Class of 2021 and select 2022 prospects from the 40+ state coverage area of PBR.  The Future Games take place on July 31 - August 3 at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA.  Last year more than 250 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance. 

Beginning on Wednesday July 31st with a full pro-style workout for the position players in attendance, the event runs through August 3rd.  Each team will play three games over the three days after the workout day.  Team Iowa-Minnesota-Nebraska will be comprised of players from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Evan Appelwick SS / 2B / Madison, SD / 2021 5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 7.14 runner. Strong follow in 2021 class. Balanced in box, stays connected well, consistent solid contact, drives ball to both gaps, has flashes of pop in bat, 91 mph exit velocity. Works around and through, athletic fielder, has above avg. hands with solid footwork, above avg. arm with accuracy and carry to bag, 87 mph arm across infield.

Gavin Bergman RHP / 1B / New Prague, MN / 2021 6-foot-1, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.25 runner.  Slightly open balanced stance. Good rhythm in load.  Loose swing with good hands.  Gap to gap approach with line drive contact.  Consistent barrel contact with strength in swing.  90 mph exit velocity.  IF- Athletic feet and moves well laterally.  Good glove and fields ball clean.  74 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.  On mound- Good size on mound.  Good balance and tempo in delivery.  Lands slightly across body down mound.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with loose and quick arm action.  Fastball is heavy thrown at 86-90 mph.  Curveball has 12/6 slow break thrown at 66-68 mph.

Jackson Brockett LHP / 1B / Elkhorn South, NE / 2021 5-foot-11, 175 pound two way player 6.75 60 yard sprint. Ranked #6 in the Nebraska 2021 rankings. Clean barrel path, , short to contact, uses whole field, hard line drive contact. Above average high school hitter. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity. Easy actions at first base, hands and feet work. Went 2-4 during game action with a double. On the mound, pitched in the 81-84 mph range. Good tilt, tough angle to hitter, easy arm action on 1/7 CB with plus depth. Avg. fade on CH to arm side.

Alex Call LHP / 1B / Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (KMS), MN / 2022 6-foot-3, 175-pound left-handed pitcher. Athletic frame with proportional strength. Arm works well from 3/4 slot. Shows late arm-side run and sink; consistently producing 83-85 mph fastballs with easy effort. Shows above avg. feel for 1/7 curveball with larger break and tighter spin. Throws strikes with firm changeup; consistently in bottom of zone.

Hogan Helligso C / 3B / Elkhorn South, NE / 2021 5-foot-10, 160 pound catcher ran a 6.82 60 yard sprint. Ranked #8 in the Nebraska 2021 rankings. Square setup. Barrels exit hitting zone early, rolls hands over a times, gap to gap hitter, avg. overall round of BP. Posted an 86 mph exit velocity. Threw to 2nd in the 1.89-2.01 range, above average catcher for the high school level. Sounds block, easy transfer and release, athletic actions.

Carter Hendrickson OF / LHP / Farmington, MN / 2021 5-foot-8, 165-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  6.85 runner.  Upright and open stance with relaxed handset.  Leg lift and minimal hand load.  Lower half gets through swing well.  Middle approach with line drive contact.  Flashes pull pop with consistent barrel contact.  87 mph exit velocity.  OF- Athletic with good feet.  Fields ball clean with solid glove.  82 mph arm strength with good accuracy and average carry on throws.  On mound- Smaller athletic frame.  Quick tempo delivery and good balance.  Repeats well.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot.  Fastball is sneaky with life thrown at 81-84 mph.  Curveball has sharp late 1/7 break with good spin thrown at 76-77 mph.

Luke Jessen OF / OF / Elkhorn South, NE / 2021 5-foot-9, 170 pound outfielder ran a 6.75 60 yard sprint. Compact physical frame. Ranked #6 in the Nebraska 2021 class. Good hands at plate, shows bat speed, uses field, line drive contact, hard contact off bat. Moves well in field, did not throw from the outfield.

Drew Lingen C / RHP / Rochester John Marshall, MN / 2021 6-foot-2, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 7.43 runner.  Good size and present strength.  Squared stance with weight slightly back.  Small and simple load.  Gap to gap approach with line drive and fly ball contact.  Flashes pull pop with consistent barrel contact.  88 mph exit velocity.  C- Bigger target.  Low balanced setup.  Quiet glove with ability to hold pitches.  Longer footwork with good direction on throws.  Clean exchange with 2.01-2.15 pop times and 77 mph arm strength.

Justin Loer LHP / 1B / Lakeville South, MN / 2021 6-foot-4, 162-pound right-handed hitting pitcher.  Long projectable frame.  Slow into quick twitch tempo.  Good balance.  Deception through delivery.  Lands across body creating tough angle to plate.  Throws from a lower ¾ arm action with a long and whippy arm action.  Fastball is 80-83 mph with varying action.  Curveball has sharp 1/7 break with good spin and shape thrown at 72-74 mph.  Change-up has above average fade action thrown with good arm speed.

Tony Neubeck LHP / 1B / Mahtomedi, MN / 2021 6-foot-1, 185-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player.  7.38 runner.  Wide squared stance.  Toe tap trigger and small hand load.  Lower half gets through swing.  Loose swing.  Mid/pull approach with mainly line drive contact.  Average barrel contact and flashed pull pop.  83 mph exit velocity.  IF- Active feet and moves well laterally.  Good glove and fields ball out in front.  77 mph arm strength with carry and accuracy.  On mound- Projectable frame.  Good tempo and balance through delivery.  Lands slightly across body down mound.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with good clean arm action.  Good extension out front.  Hides ball well.  Fastball comes out of hand with slight run at 80-83 mph.  Curveball has 1/7 big break with average spin at 63-65 mph.  Change-up straight at 70-74 mph.

Ben North SS / 2B / East Ridge , MN / 2021 6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. 6.95 runner.  Athletic frame.  Squared stance.  Stride to start and hands load back.  Tends to arm bar and collapse on backside.  Mid/pull approach with line drive contact.  Average barrel contact and flashed pull pop.  89 mph exit velocity.  IF- Good actions.  Feet are athletic to field.  Sure hands and fields ball clean.  85 mph arms strength with good carry and accuracy.

Jackson Nove LHP / 1B / Cedar Rapids Prairie, IA / 2021 6-foot-4, 180-pound left-handed pitcher. Longer projectable frame on mound. Athletic high knee balance point. Long arm swing with quickness out front. Fastball was 80-83 mph with later arm side running action away from RHH. Throws avg. 1/7 breaking ball for strikes; solid shape and can be used to pitch hitter backwards. Slight arm-side run on changeup. Projects well physically, is left-handed, arm works well, and should continue to progress and make quality strides on mound.

Kade Peloquin OF / LHP / Stillwater, MN / 2021 5-foot-9, 155-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player.  6.77 runner.  Upright relaxed stance.  Hand load back and stride to start.  Aggressive swing.  Good swing plane creating line drive contact.  Mid/pull approach with good barrel contact.  86 mph exit velocity.  OF- Athletic to field.  Clean glove and good feet.  Longer to release.  84 mph arm strength with solid carry and accuracy.

Sam Petersen SS / OF / Ballard, IA / 2021 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. 6.60 runner. Open stance, rolling hand load, transfers weight back and through well to contact, shows bat speed, good extension through zone, consistent hard line drive and fly ball contact to mid/pull side of field, 87 mph exit velocity. Good hands and feet, works through baseball well, shows ability to cover ground, stiffer one-piece arm action at times, solid carry and accuracy to base, 82 mph arm strength across infield.

Max Petersen SS / 2B / Lincoln Southwest, NE / 2021 6-foot, 157 pound infield ran a 6.83 60 yard sprint. Lean athletic frame. Ranked #7 in the Nebraska 2021 rankings. Easy actions at the plate with quite load,  line drive and fly ball hitter, gap to gap, avg. pop in bat. Posted an 88 mph exit velocity off a tee. Above avg. hands and feet, carry and accuracy to bag, topped out at 84 mph across the infield.

Alex Ritzer SS / 2B / Stillwater, MN / 2021 5-foot-11, 180-pound left-handed hitting shortstop.  6.75 runner.  Squared stance with relaxed hands.  Small body and hand load.  Comfortable in box.  Flashes bat speed.  Gap to gap approach with line drive contact.  Consistent barrel contact and flashes pull pop.  89 mph exit velocity.  IF- Solid actions.  Moves athletically to field.  Sure hands and makes routine plays.  Lower release on throws.  79 mph arm strength with good carry and accuracy.

Noah Rooney LHP / OF / Perham, MN / 2021 5-foot-11, 155-pound left-handed hitting 2-way player. On mound; crouched to start, medium crouched balance point, compact arm action with good hand speed out front, lands slightly across body. Fastball was 82-84 mph with hard late varying action to plate. Small break on tighter spinning 1/7 curveball. Controls changeup well, firm velo, with varying run and cut action.

Logan Runde C / RHP / Dubuque Hempstead, IA / 2021 6-foot-2, 185-pound switch hitting catcher. Easy actions with left-handed swing, repeats well, line drive swing plane, uses both sides of field well, consistent solid contact. Has solid rhythm in swing from right-side, shows pop in bat to mid/pull side of field, has good extension and drives through baseball well, 89 mph exit velocity. Shows above avg. receiving skills and is a sound blocker as well, athletic polished movements. Upright on release, above avg. carry to bag, accurate arm, consistent catch and throws skills, 80 mph arm strength with 2.00-2.09 pop times.

Tommy Specht OF / RHP / Dubuque Wahlert, IA / 2022 Rankings  OverallRank: 194 / POS: 35 5-foot-11, 150-pound left-handed hitting outfielder. 6.9 runner. Thin athletic frame. Shows solid routes and angles in field, confident fielder and works through ball well. Well above avg. arm from outfield with carry and accuracy to plate with throws topping out at 92 mph. One of the top follows in the IA 2022 class.

Ethan Voss RHP / OF / Burnsville, MN / 2021 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player.  6.84 runner.  Athletic frame.  Squared balanced stance with relaxed hands.  Strides and hands load back.  Loose swing and lower half gets through swing well.  Gap to gap approach with line drive contact.  Consistent barrel with flashes of pop.  90 mph exit velocity.  OF- Athletic movements to ball.  Good glove and fields ball clean.  Long loose arm action.  88 mph arm strength with solid carry and good accuracy.  On mound- Projectable frame.  Quicker tempo and good balance through delivery.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with longer loose arm action.  Fastball is 84-86 mph with arm side run.  Curveball has 11/5 break with average shape and spin thrown at 67-69 mph.

Gavin Zurn RHP / 1B / Stillwater , MN / 2021 6-foot-4, 205-pound right-handed pitcher.  2018 Future Games Participant.  Big frame. On mound- Big presence with projectable frame.  Rocker step into slower tempo through delivery.  Good front side.  Throws from a ¾ arm slot with clean arm action.  Fastball is 87-89 mph with run action.  Curveball has 11/5 break with average spin thrown at 70-71 mph.  Strong follow on mound in 2021 class.
