SEASON OUTLOOK
The 2018 Edmond Santa Fe Wolves will look to reload after an impressive 26-8 record last season and falling short in extra innings of the regional finals game. The Wolves will likely count on newcomers Nixon Petitt and Cayden Brumbaugh to make an immediate impact to go along with their four returning every-day starters and three arms that threw over 15 innings. Santa Fe will also look to three-four young men who were roll players on last years team to step up and become major contributors. Seniors Alex Andrews, Ryan Walden, Ryan Knutson, and J.T. Ray will supply strong senior leadership this season.
Offensively, Blake Robertson and Dominic Johnson will look to continue punishing pitchers as an impressive 1-2 punch. Both have the ability to hit for power, average, and really run at the top of the Wolves order. Joining them in the heart of the order will likely be Ryan Walden.
On the mound, Alex Andrews will attempt to repeat his success from last season when he went 8-1 for the wolves. Andrews will by joined by Robertson, who also put up ace-like numbers last year, and left-hander Petitt. J.T. Ray could be a major contributor as well.
Defensively, Andrews and Robertson will anchor the infield along with newcomer Brumbaugh. Johnson will likely captin the outfield from center.
