The season is well underway now in all Northern California CIF sections and as such, we have begun accepting nominations for the weekly player of the week in the region. We present the winner for our second 2021 NorCal Player of the Week.

2021 SS Cameron Butler of Big Valley Christian HS, a player we and the MLB area scouts are quite familiar with, has been tearing the cover off the baseball in 2021. BVC went 2-1 last week and Butler stuffed the box score with eye-popping numbers. He went 8-for-11, pounding five doubles, one home run, drove in seven, scored eight times, while swiping three bags, and talking a pair of base on balls. He leads the state of California in home runs (9, one GS) and RBI (36), and after last week was hitting a robust .717 (38-for-53). For good measure he also has 34 runs scored, 13 doubles, four triples, and is 17/17 on stolen base attempts. Very few things get scouts as excited as a elite high school prospect PERFORMING at an exceptional level. Well, Butler, a Cal Poly commit, is doing all he can to put his performance right there with his exceptional tools.

For his outstanding performances last week, we congratulate Cameron Butler of Big Valley Christian HS (Modesto, CA) for being named the Prep Baseball Report Northern California Player of the Week for the week of April 26th - May 1st. We salute his accomplishments and wish he and his teammates continued success this spring.
