Day 2 of the New Jersey State Games was another success, as several arms and bats stood out.

+ 2018 SS Brendan Lowery (Randolph HS, NJ) has a strong, athletic frame with smooth actions in the field and feel for the barrel at the plate.

+ Lehigh recruit 2018 LHP Matthew Stamford (Chatham HS, NJ) was 83-84 in his first inning from a high-3/4 slot. Up tempo delivery, creates some leverage with high front side going down the mound.

+ 2019 RHP Ryan Napolitano (Wall HS, NJ) was 77-78 on the bump from a high-3/4 slot. Featured feel for a 12/6 breaking ball and a changeup with some armside fade. Touched 79-80 at times. Filled the strike zone – worked quickly.

+ 2018 C Julian Greco (Christian Brothers Academy HS, NJ) continued his offensive outburst throughout the event – launching a line drive home run over the left field fence. 

+ 2018 LHP DJ Gonnelli (Governor Livingston HS, NJ) was 79-80 with an effortless delivery and command of 3 offspeed pitches. Slow, methodical delivery, competes.

+ 2018 RHP Kyle Smith (Sterling HS, NJ) has a projectable, lean, athletic build at 6-foot-3 195-pounds. was up to 83 on the mound with more in the tank. Clean, effortless arm action with feel for 11/5 curveball for strikes. 

+ 2018 OF Sean Klimek (Pequonnock HS, NJ) solidified his status as one of the top performers of the event with two ground rule doubles to cap off 5 extra base hits over the course of two days. 

+ 2018 C Ryan Colbert (Bishop Eustace Prep HS, NJ) has a smooth, athletic transfer. Explosive out of the crouch – gets feet in sqaure position when throwing down to 2B. Threw runner out from knees to 3B. Left handed hitter, smooth effortless power to his stroke.

+ 2019 3B Josh Crowding (Kingsway HS, NJ) showcased well on the mound and at the plate. One the first day smoked two doubles in the right center field gap and added another on the second day. One the mound, topped at 81 MPH and sat 79-81 for his two innings of work. Mixed in a curveball at 68-69 and a changeup at 70-73.

+ 2019 OF David Glancy (Red Bank Catholic HS, NJ) solidified why he is one of the top power hitting prospects in the 2019 class with his performance over the course of the two days. He homered to deep left center field, launched a ground rule double and barreled up 88 MPH in his final at bat of the day.
