The Preseason I.D. - Milwaukee took place on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Hitters Baseball Academy in Caledonia, WI. Over 120 prospects participated in a pro-style workout in front of the PBR Wisconsin Scouting Staff. We continue the event analysis with a breakdown of the statistical leaders.

TOP 60 YARD DASH TIMES
13 prospects posted sub-7.00 second 60 yard dash times. TJ Manteufel (Union Grove, 2020) ran the top time at 6.68 seconds, almost an entire 1/10 of a second better than second place, Iowa commit Michael Seegers (Home School, 2020).

The arm strength exhibited by the pitchers was impressive to say the least. George Klassen (Port Washington, 2020) was the only prospect to break 90 mph at 91. Six prospects sit below Klassen, all topping out at 87 mph.

TOP EXIT VELOCITY
18 prospects in attendance managed to record exit velocities of 90 mph or greater. Max Bruff (Indian Trail, 2019) and Illinois commit Xavier Watson (South Milwaukee, 2019) share the top spot with their 98 mph exit velocities off a tee. Coming in just behind them was Louisville commit Andrew Weigman (Carmel Catholic (IL), 2019) at 97.

Only two prospects managed to break 90 mph across the infield. Gavin Hinckley (West Bend West, 2020) came in at exactly 90 mph, while George Klassen (Port Washington, 2020) showed that his arm plays just as well on the infield as it does on the mound with his 94 mph effort.

Kameron Laskowski (Hamilton, 2019) put up an event-best 1.98 pop time, the only prospect to post a pop time under 2.00 seconds. Julio Cajigas (Romeoville (IL), 2019) came in at 2.00 seconds exactly and Riley Hughes (Bradford, 2019) followed up with a 2.01 pop of his own.

Part of the reason that Julio Cajigas was able to post his 2.00 pop time was the considerable amount of arm strength he possesses behind the plate. Cajigas was the only catcher to be clocked at 80 mph or better out of the crouch with his 82 mph effort.
