MOUNTAIN VISTA 4, ROCKY MOUNTAIN 0
2022, Tyler Mejia, LHP, Mountain Vista Uncommitted. Mejia coming off of TJ rehab and is returning at a very level. Considered the top uncommitted player in Colorado’s 2022 class, the LHP was 84-87 with great arm side run. Pitches to both sides of the plate. His FB attacks the hands of right handed hitters. CB 72-75 has a 12/6 action and is used early in counts and for a strike out pitch. CH 78-79 has plus movement and has deceptive quick arm speed. Strong lean build with athleticism. One of Mountain Vista’s top hitters, as well.

2022, Blake Young, C, Mountain Vista (UC Santa Barbara commit). Top Catcher in the state. Young’s catch and throw skills are outstanding. Great transition and accurate arm. Strong leadership skills and manages innings with consistency and tempo.
2023, Brady Hall, RHP/3B, Rocky Mountain. FB ranged from 84-86 with high ¾ slot. Very consistent strike thrower with all pitches. SL 73-75 has sweeping action. Locates OS. Tends to pitch up in the zone. Consistent repeatable delivery and great tempo.
EATON 9, BRUSH 7
This 3A matchup in Eaton and loaded with collegiate prospects. 2022 RHP Kaden Moriarty, Brush (University of Mary commit) started for the Beetdiggers. FB ranged 84-87. SL 69-73 was loose and seemed have intentional velocity differences. FB had 2 seam action at times. Threw a strong 5inn, 5H and 6K.

2024 RHP Mitch Haythorn, Eaton (Uncommitted). Very impressive SOPH. Haythorn faced 17 hitters and only had 1 barrel contact. FB 86-89. Locates 4 seam in and out and was unusually up in the zone in this outing. two-seam FB 85-86 has ++run! SL 78-79 is attacking with command. CH 77-80 stays down in the zone. Showed leadership and composure when team defense was challenged. Repeatable delivery. Continues to show gradual increases in Velo. Top Prospect in the Colorado Class of 2024.

2022 MIF Ben Richter, Eaton (Augustana College commit). Undersized MIF with energetic motor. Quick twitch athlete. Shows discipline at the plate. Middle of the field approach. Will benefit as he advances with added strength. Does the small things that helps team win.
2023 SS Walker Martin, Eaton, (Arkansas commit) 2-for-3 with two doubles and 5 RBI’s. Martin’s stands out on the field. Top athlete in the State of Colorado as a football (QB), basketball and baseball player. Explosive quick hands. Shows power potential, but shows commitment to middle of the field. Developing defensive skill sets as SS. 2023 PBR Colorado Future Games member.

2024 RHP Garrett Garrison, Eaton, Uncommitted. Another impressive arm at Eaton. Garrison collected the save with 1inn, 1 hit, 2 K’s. Big frame, strong lower half. FB 82-83, touched 84. Attacking max effort delivery, arm works with ease. In the zone and worked with good tempo. CB/SL 76. Good follow as he develops.
CHERRY CREEK 9, PINE CREEK 2
2025, RHP Boston Kellner, Pine Creek HS (Louisville commit). Boston shows a great deal of upside for a 2025 graduate, the RHP shows a fastball that demonstrates good life and carry, he worked at 85-86 touching 88. He has a fairly compact delivery that is repeatable and does not have a lot of moving parts.
His arm appears to work well without a great deal of effort. His breaking ball was 72-74 with the ability to freeze hitters and showed some good depth. Boston is a strike thrower with a good arm and should develop into one of the premier arms in his class. There is a great deal of positive potential for this young pitcher as you try to project into the future.

2022, Cooper Katskee, RHP, Cherry Creek HS (Iowa Western CC commit). Cooper worked at 87-88 with his fastball, he showed the ability to command the strike zone with both his fastball and his curveball, the breaking pitch showed depth and both pitches could be thrown for strikes in any count. Breaking ball was 72-74 consistently. At 6'5", 215 he has an athletic frame and an ideal pitcher's body which appears imposing on the mound.
His arm appears to work well without a great deal of effort and appears to have more velocity in the arm as he develops as a pitcher, having spent a lot of time in football as a quarterback. Cooper should have an outstanding senior year in baseball and should have the ability to develop into an outstanding pitcher at the junior college level.

VALOR CHRISTIAN 9, HERITAGE 0
Cold and windy and today at Valor, about 40 degrees with strong winds, a tough day to pitch for both teams.
2022, RHP Luke Meyers, Heritage HS (Central Arizona commit). Luke is an outstanding athlete who worked in the mid to upper 80's, touching 88 and working at 85-86 with his fastball. His delivery is compact and efficient, there is very little wasted motion and his breaking ball comes out of the same arm slot as his fastball. Luke's breaking ball's were 73-75 with some depth that provided for some "swing overs" from the hitters. His is very athletic and he is very competitive. His arm works well and his delivery is very fundamentally sound and he works at a good pace.
Versatile enough and athletic enough that he has the chance to be successful as a pitcher or as a position player.

2024, RHP Athan Kroll, Valor Christian HS (Dallas Baptist commit). Athan is a tall, angular sophomore who exhibits a great deal of potential and upside as a pitcher. His arm works with ease and fluidity and his fastball was 85-87 and his breaking ball consistently in the mid 70's. He has the ability to mix his pitches well was able to maintain velocity on a cold, windy day, he didn't give up his first hit until the 4th inning. Athan appears to throw both his fastball and his breaking ball with great conviction and looks to be a confident competitor on the mound. He will have a bright future as he continues to mature and improve over time.

2023, LHP Ben Leikam, Valor Christian HS. Leikam came in as the closer to pitch one inning and demonstrated an 86-88 mph fastball and a very effective slow breaking ball that registered 65-67. He finished the game with two strikeouts and gave up one hit. He is an aggressive pitcher who challenges hitters and attacks the strike zone and he threw both pitches for strikes.
PONDEROSA 8, FOSSIL RIDGE 6
2022, Zander Reese, LHP, Fossil Ridge (uncommitted). Reese, pitches from the stretch, found a great rhythm after giving up 3 1st inning runs. 4 ⅓ innings, 2H, 4ER, 11K’s. Reese pitched in the zone in final 3 ⅓ innings. FB 86-89 with great ASR. CB 73-75 with 12/6 action, located CB for strike and kept it down for strikeout pitch. CH 75. Reese is refining mechanics and showed great signs in this outing. Very difficult on LHH.
