2024 RHP Athan Kroll (Dallas Baptist commit) showed why is one of the top arms in the 2024 class. Kroll threw 3 innings giving up 3 hits, 1ER and 4K. FB 86-87 Touching 88 with good arm side run. Tall/lean, Athan creates a repeatable delivery with high ¾ release cutter 77-82 and a CH at 78-81. Continue to see consistent development in Athan’s mechanics and strength. High ceiling.
Athan is a tall, angular sophomore who exhibits a great deal of potential and upside as a pitcher. His arm works with ease and fluidity and his fastball was 85-87 and his breaking ball consistently in the mid 70's. He has the ability to mix his pitches well was able to maintain velocity on a cold, windy day, he didn't give up his first hit until the 4th inning. Athan appears to throw both his fastball and his breaking ball with great conviction and looks to be a confident competitor on the mound. He will have a bright future as he continues to mature and improve over time.
One of the top 2024 prospects in the state of Colorado and Athan didn’t disappoint. Great composure and repeatable delivery. Fastball ranged from 81-85, topping out at 86.1. Strike thrower with high ¾ release gives opportunity for arm side run and he has feel for off speed. Very high ceiling and projectability.
Impressive 2024 right-handed who is still developing. Fastball sat 83-85 mph with good, controlled mechanics and good tempo delivery. He also shows ability as a right-handed hitter. +Quick hands with some lift to swing. One of the top athletes in Colorado's 2024 class.
Long levers with thin frame. Some length, with line drive path from the right side and top exit velocity of 88.5 mph. Aathletic movements in his game with outfield velocity of 84 mph. Great potential as he adds strength and his skills continue to develop.
