Cooper Trinkle & Staff
PBR Indiana

The PBR Indiana 2025 Class Rankings have been updated now that the 2022 summer is complete. The 2025s are shaping up to be a very solid group, with a handful already committed to Power 5 schools. Today, we take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects in the class, the top risers in this update, and some new faces to the rankings.

No. 1

Brandon Logan OF / OF / Fort Wayne Snider, IN / 2025

A Vanderbilt recruit - Logan is an elite athlete that has been praised as one of the best defensive outfielders in the country in the 2025 class. He’s a glider-type runner that ran a (6.63) 60 yard dash last fall, and his speed plays up even more in game. A game-changer on the base paths, Logan plays with confidence and shows good presence in the box. At the dish, he sets up in a balanced stance and has a smooth load with consistent tempo throughout. He has a quick, flat bat path with a line drive oriented approach.

Top Uncommitted Talent

Cal Gates OF / LHP / Bedford North Lawrence, IN / 2025

An athletic, 5-foot-10, 170 pound outfielder, Gates is an outstanding all-around talent with the ability to impact the game in a multitude of ways. A 6.95 runner, Gates has a quick left-handed stroke with the ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field. At the Future Games, Gates showed true top-of-the-order potential, taking confident at-bats against some of the top 2024 talent in the country. Gates also has enough strength to hit for extra bases, producing an exit velocity of 93.7 mph. Gates can cover ground in the OF and possesses plenty of arm strength, and can also hop on the bump and run his fastball up to 86 mph from the left side.

Joe Glander RHP / 3B / Noblesville, IN / 2025

Glander is a projectable, 6-foot-2, 160lb RHP and was electric in his start at the Indiana Summer Championships. Glander has a smooth delivery with well-timed intent. Quick arm speed with a clean arm swing. Glander breezed through his 4 innings of work, posting 10 K’s and allowing just 2 Hs and 0 Rs. Glander has an advanced FB for a 2025, sitting 86-89 mph w/ good ride through the zone and occasional run. He showed good feel for a sinking CH at 77-78, throwing the CH w/ good arm speed. His breaking ball was a short, tight 73-74 mph SL that he used mainly as an outpitch. Glander is a good athlete with the frame to continue to add velo, it’ll be fun to watch his development over the next few years.

Mason Barth SS / RHP / Andrean , IN / 2025

Barth is uber physical for a 2025, built like a running back at 5-foot-9, 190 pounds. An instinctual player that plays with poise and competitiveness, Barth has a simple, repeatable swing with a wide stance and a small, compact load. Barth had a big week at the dish at the Future Games, going 4 for 7 with a 2B and 3 RBIs in gameplay and producing the best exit velocity (100.2 mph) amongst a loaded Team Indiana group. Simple actions at SS, nothing flashy, but Barth possesses soft hands and quick feet. 6.82 runner.

Logan Smolar RHP / OF / Andrean, IN / 2025

Smolar is a tooled-out, two-way prospect that possesses advanced strength and athleticism for a 2025  The 6-foot-2, 190 pounder is a 6.70 runner with plus bat speed, who can also run his fastball up to 91 mph. He showcases raw power from the left-side of dish and elite arm strength in the outfield with throws topping at 92 mph with carry.

Risers

Will Coleman LHP / OF / Castle, IN / 2025

A high-waisted, 6’0 southpaw, Coleman ran his fastball up to 86 mph this summer and has the frame and arm speed for that number to continue to tick up. Coleman has shown the ability to command the baseball, with lots of feel for a fading 70-72 mph changeup and a 67-71 mph breaking ball.

Mason Braun 1B / LHP / New Prairie, IN / 2025

A Virginia Tech commit - Braun can flat out hit, with arguably the most raw power in the Indiana’s 2025 class due to a quick and very efficient left-handed swing. Thick, 6-foot, 185 frame that produced a max exit velocity of 100.2 mph. While Braun’s offensive profile is extremely impressive, he also has some arm strength and can play both corner outfield and first base.

New Faces

Jordyn Barlow RHP / Warren Central, IN / 2025

Barlow is an interesting young arm with a lot of things to like. Standing at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds, Barlow has a strong lower half w/ a simple delivery and clean, compact arm action. He sat 83-86 mph on his FB in this look, attacking hitters in the zone. His breaking ball is still developing, currently in the upper 60s. A good follow in the 2025 class and could develop into a powerful arm in the next couple of years.

Brad Rohde 1B / RHP / Hanover Central, IN / 2025

Rodhe immediately passes the eye test, standing at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds. A two-way player, Rodhe has a lot to like on the mound. He currently sits 82-84 touching 85 mph with his fastball, but has the frame to add plenty of velocity. Rodhe has a longer arm action but shows some quickness to it as he moves down the slope. As a hitter, Rohde has power potential due to powerful bat speed and an upward swing plane.

Kale Wemer RHP / SS / Crawfordsville, IN / 2025

Solid, 6-foot, 187 pound frame. Wemer stands out due a live arm from an over-the-top plane and a fastball that was up to 85 mph this summer. He can really spin a breaking ball, landing it on command at 72-75 mph. Wemer creates some deception in his delivery and showed the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate.

Jaxon Sparks LHP / OF / Carroll Fort Wayne , IN / 2025

An interesting 2025 southpaw, Sparks stands at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. A two-way prospect, Sparks shows a drop-and-drive delivery and a quick arm on the mound. At Indiana’s Top Prospect Games in June, Sparks ran his fastball up to 83 mph and showed some feel for a low-to-mid 70s breaking ball. Sparks also has some intriguing athleticism on the offensive side of the ball, running a 6.96 60. Sparks has quick hands with an upward swing plane with enough strength to project Sparks to hit for some power.

Mike Wright RHP / 1B / Seymour, IN / 2025

An athletic, projectable RHP who currently runs his fastball up to 84 mph. The 6-foot-3, 185 pounder has a clean arm action from an over-the-top slot and showed the ability to command three pitches for strikes. He showed confidence in his changeup, willing to throw it R/R at 70-72 mph.
