Cooper Trinkle & Staff
PBR Indiana

The PBR Indiana Class of 2024 Rankings have been updated now that the 2022 summer is complete. The 2024s continue to add depth to an already loaded class, with some players who have seen major development and some newcomers to the list. Check out the risers, newcomers, and fully expanded rankings, below.

TOP 2

Brayton Thomas LHP / 1B / Bishop Dwenger, IN / 2024

Thomas takes over the top spot in Indiana’s 2024 class after a very successful sophomore campaign, where he garnered plenty of attention at the national level. The 6-foot-4, 220 pound Indiana recruit ran his fastball up to 93 mph at the Area Code Underclass Games and has been into the low-90s on multiple occasions. He uses a sharp, tight slider at 76-78 mph that projects to be a future swing-and-miss pitch. Thomas has also shown intriguing feel for a 80-81 mph changeup that continues to improve. Aside from the premium stuff and frame that he possesses, scouts have raved about Thomas’ mound presence and competitive demeanor, attacking hitters with three pitches in the zone.

Bradley Ferrell RHP / SS / South Central, IN / 2024

Ferrell has a long, lanky 6-foot-3, 165 pound frame that oozes projection. The Kentucky recruit has a loose, whippy arm that has produced low-90s fastballs on multiple occasions, and he topped out at 94 mph at the Area Code Underclass Games. Aside from an electric fastball, Ferrell possesses a wipeout slider in the mid-70s that he has shown to have feel for, and a sinking changeup in the mid-80s. Ferrell’s lanky frame, quick arm, and already electric stuff has and will continue to garner plenty of attention on the national level.

NEW ADDITIONS TO TOP 10

Jayce Lee OF / 2B / Saint Joseph, IN / 2024

Lee takes over as the #3 ranked prospect in Indiana’s 2024 class after having a breakout sophomore spring/summer. The uber-projectable, 6-foot-3, 175 pound outfielder possesses a rare combination of speed and power that projects to hit in the middle of the order at the next level. A right-handed hitter, Lee produces easy bat speed and possesses present pull-side power. Also a graceful defender, his 93 mph arm is a future plus-tool that could allow him to blossom into an advanced corner outfielder. At the PBR Futures Game, Lee also hopped on the mound and ran his fastball up to 89 mph with easy effort. Lee committed to Notre Dame shortly after the PBR Future Games.

Simon Wilkinson RHP / Zionsville, IN / 2024

Wilkinson entered the Top 10, ranked as the #9 player in Indiana’s 2024 class, for the first time after a breakout summer that was capped by an electric performance at the PBR Future Games. The athletic, 6-foot-1, 170 pound righty has a smooth, easy delivery and has run his fastball up to 89 mph. His best pitch is a sharp, late breaking slider that got multiple swing-and-misses at the Future Games. The Illinois recruit has good balance and athleticism throughout his delivery, allowing him to attack the zone with command for both pitches.

RISERS

Hunter Snow OF / 2B / Carmel, IN / 2024

The top uncommitted bat left on the board in Indiana’s 2024 class, Snow garnered the attention of power 5 schools throughout the summer of 2022. At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Snow has considerable projection and could blossom into a legitimate middle of the order bat at the next level. A 6.97 runner, Snow’s swing is smooth and athletic, working short-to-long through the zone, and promising much more power to come.

Cameron Sullivan RHP / 3B / Mt Vernon, IN / 2024

Sullivan was one of the biggest winners for Team Indiana at the PBR Future Games, shooting him up the class of 2024 rankings. The 6-foot-1, 180 pound RHP showed a quick arm that produced a fastball that was up to 91 mph with good ride through the zone and got multiple swing-and-misses. Sullivan’s slider is tight at 80-82 mph with 2500+ spin, and he possesses a diving changeup in the low-to-mid 80s.

Adam Buczkowski RHP / SS / Carmel, IN / 2024

Buczkowski was another big winner for Team Indiana at the PBR Future Games, capping off a successful summer on the mound. The athletic, 6-foot-2, 180 pound righty sat 86-88 mph at the Future Games with good ride through the zone on his fastball. Buczkowski has a hard, late breaking slider at 78-81 mph that showed to be an out-pitch. One of the top uncommitted arms in the class, Buczkowski also has the ability to drop down from a sidearm slot and sit in the low-to-mid 80s, providing a very uncomfortable look for right-handed hitters.

NEW FACES

Corbin Snyder RHP / 1B / Eastern , IN / 2024

Snyder enters Indiana’s class of 2024 rankings at #33 after a standout summer. Snyder caught the eyes of the PBR Indiana staff with a long, projectable 6-foot-5 frame. At the Indiana Summer Championships, Snyder sat 84-86 mph on his fastball. His lengthy frame and long arm action really allows him to get down the mound and attack hitters, providing a very uncomfortable at-bat. Snyder showed a big, 66-70 mph breaking ball with depth. Expect a velo jump to come soon from the lanky 2024 RHP.

Joseph Chrapliwy SS / RHP / John Glenn, IN / 2024

An intriguing prospect in Indiana’s 2024 class, Chrapliwy enters into the rankings as a top 50 prospect. Standing at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Chrapliwy shows plenty of upside on the mound, where he has been up to 86 mph with plenty left in the tank. At the Grand Park Summer Championships, he showed a three-pitch mix for strikes, a breaking ball with good depth, and a changeup with armside fade. Aside from the upside on the mound, Chrapliwy showed his athleticism at the PBR Indiana Top Prospect Games by running a 6.77 60 yard dash.

Jake Mulvehill LHP / OF / John Adams, IN / 2024

Mulvehill enters the rankings as a southpaw with good pitchability. 6-foot, 180 pounder with an athletic frame, Mulvehill shows good balance throughout his delivery with a low effort level. He ran his fastball up to 84 mph this summer with occasional armside run and possesses plenty of feel for his breaking ball with good depth. Mulvehill’s ability to command the baseball mixed with above-average stuff that is still developing makes an intriguing prospect and a high follow in the 2024 class.
