Game of the Day: South Charleston at Capital

South Charleston out hit Capital on the day, but the Cougars won the battle on the scoreboard by plating a run in the 1st inning and tacking on two insurance runs in the 5th.
Mike Stuck led off the bottom of the 1st with a single, advanced on a single by Andrew Sydenstricker and scored the game's first run on a bases loaded walk to Garrett Eads.
Ian Rose singled to lead off the 5th and scored on a double by Stuck. Stuck then scored the Cougars third and final run on a double by Sydenstricker. Stuck (2-3, 2B, 2 R, RBI) and Sydenstricker (2-3, 2B, RBI) led the Capital lineup.
Eads scattered six hits in a complete game shutout. He walked three and struck out four in the 109 pitch gem. Ty Sizemore went 2-for-3 to lead the South Charleston offense.
