Future Games Rewind
July 29, 2020
TEXAS - The PBR Future Games is, hands down, the summer’s premier event. With rosters composed entirely of uncommitted underclassmen, it is truly a one-stop-shop for college recruiters. Over the past two years Team Texas has seen over 30+ commitments, and with the 2020 roster loaded yet again with talented Texas underclassmen expect many more to come. With only a few days left until Team Texas makes their way to Lakepoint, today we recap few standout performances from notable alumni to come through the PBR Future Games.

FUTURE GAMES ALUMNI
MJ Rodriguez 1B / C / Veterans Memorial, TX / 2020Oklahoma State commit, continued to prove he can hit for power to all fields at a high level as his high school career went on. Rodriguez is another power bat to come out of the Corpus area that should seamlessly fit in at the next level. #FutureGameAlum

Storm Hierholzer RHP / 1B / Lake Travis, TX / 2020The TCU commit continued to improve each and every time our PBR staff was able to see him over the years and proved it with a stellar (shortened) high school season. Hierholzer was also a participant of the Super 60 and showed his pure ability to spin the baseball per Trackman. #FutureGameAlum |
Elijah Nunez OF / Arlington Martin, TX / 2020TCU commit also participated in the Super 60 event this past January and showed why he was such a highly touted recruit. Nunez was hampered by an injury early in the high school season but was able to show his twitchy natural ability and bright future as he continues to develop. #FutureGameAlum |
Max Belyeu OF / RHP / Aledo, TX / 2022The Alabama commit took one of the louder rounds of BP at the event last year. Also was able to show he could hit in game against quality arms. Belyeu has continued to blossom into one of the better left handed hitters in the country. #FutureGameAlum |
Anthony Silva SS / 3B / Clark, TX / 2022TCU commit, Silva is one of the best true SS in the country. Defensively he is special and makes the game look very easy. The bat has only continued to improve as he has physically matured. He was able to show very well last year as one of the younger players at the Future Games. #FutureGameAlum |
Alec Grossman RHP / SS / Lake Travis, TX / 2021The North Carolina commit came out of the bullpen topping out at 92 last year and flashing a plus breaking ball to go with it. There was quickly a buzz around Grossman as he showed really well in his short outings during last years Future Games. #FutureGameAlum |
Daylan Pena 1B / 3B / Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, TX / 2021Texas State commit drove a couple of balls hard to the wall in game 1 of last years future games. Pena has only continued to improve and has also blossomed into one of the better pure hitters in the state. Look for Pena to make more jumps his senior year. #FutureGameAlum |
Caedmon Parker SS / RHP / The Woodlands Christian, TX / 2021TCU commit was just starting to turn into the pitcher that he is today. Parker showed raw talent and a loose arm and has only continued to improve and develop into a power arm with at times a plus breaking ball. Parker has as high of an upside as any right handed arm in the state. #FutureGameAlum
