FL: Inside the Numbers for the Updated Overall Class of 2019 Rankings

On Thursday, August 24th, the updated PBR Overall Class of 2019 Rankings were released. The state of Florida was well represented not only throughout the Top 400, but five players from the state of Florida fell in the Top 10.

No. 3: 3B/SS Rece Hinds (LSU recruit)
No. 4: OF Riley Greene (Florida recruit)
No. 6: LHP Hunter Barco (Virginia recruit)
No. 9: OF Jud Fabian (Florida recruit)
No. 10: RHP Brandon Walker (Florida State recruit)

First, let’s look at a breakdown of where the prospects fall. Of the Top 400, Florida holds on to 62 of the spots, or 15.5%.

Right-Handed Pitcher - 19
Left-Handed Pitcher - 7

Catcher - 6
Outfield - 9
Finally, of all of the Florida prospects that fall in the Top 400, 48 of the 62 players are already committed to play at the next level.
