Coach Phillip's 2022 squad features one of the more talented rosters in the state especially when it comes to the amount of power arms they have at their disposal. Logan Lunceford and Kade Shatwell both have the type of stuff to completely take over games when things are firing on all cylinders as well as Blake Seefeldt showing the type of power arm most teams just don't have. They have a balanced lineup led in the middle by Devin Mitchell who has been an RBI machine this spring picking up a ton of games with multiple hits and RBI. The entire the postseason playing their best baseball on the season winning 8 of their last 10 games including 5 of them against Power 25 teams. Last season's squad underperformed for much of the season and got hot late earning their way into the State Tournament. This year's squad has been much steadier all season long and is coming into the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the State. With their firepower on both sides of the ball, it would not be surprising to see them make a deep run at a State Title later this month.

Coach Bandy's Huskies enter regional play with one of the best winning percentages in the State thanks to one of the most talented pitching staffs in the area. Multiple power arms on the staff have shown the ability to get it done with Murrell, Hall, Bender, and Sweeney all shining at different points in the season. Offensively they have a solid mix of athletic guys at the top of the order with players like Elijah Laus setting the table for some of the run producers in the middle like Pryce Bender and Jacob Knox. Hank Heiselbetz has shown the ability to go off in games and has a knack for collecting base hits. The offense has a tendency to explode with 13 games on their schedule where they reached at least double digit runs. They aren't entering the postseason on the best of notes losing 4 out of their last 6 games but with the deep and talented pitching staff, the Huskies have the type of firepower to right the ship and make a run at a State Title.

Coach Aylor's Timberwolves squad enters the postseason with high confidence with an emerging roster playing some of their best baseball as of late. Norman North slipped out of the Power 25 for a couple weeks but the month of April was a different story for the Timberwolves winning 16 out of 20 games with 4 of those wins coming against Power 25 schools. The pitching staff is led by the duo of Nash Farrell and Jack Bucholz, two seniors that have been pitching at a high level as of late. Brett Trease rounds out the starters giving the Timberwolves three very quality arms heading into a regional format. The offense is led by one of the most athletic players in the state in Jackson Lundquist who has been on a real tear in the past couple of weeks with Landon Bruce helping to set the table in front of him. Brae Alonzo is one of the top stolen base leaders in the state to add to their athletic lineup. If the Timberwolves can continue to get quality starts out of their starting pitching, look for the Timberwolves to possibly make some real noise in this year's postseason.
NORTHWEST CLASSEN KNIGHTS
OVERALL RECORD: 13-18
DISTRICT RECORD: 0-14
POWER 25 WINS: 0
Coach Todd's Knights have had their troubles in District Play against some of the larger programs in the State but did find a way to put up a 13-4 record in non-district games showing promise in the program. Northwest Classen only features two seniors on the roster and has multiple freshman picking up valuable playing time at the Varsity level giving them some momentum headed forward for the program. Picking up 13 wins on the season is no small feat for the Knights program and with the amount of younger players on the roster the future is much brighter.
