Class of 2022 Rankings Updated
April 28, 2022
Indiana's class of 2022 rankings have been updated. Brebeuf senior ace Andrew Dutkanych IV (Vanderbilt recruit) is without-a-doubt the state's top prospect and has held on to the top spot since we began ranking the 2022 class a few years back. 'Duke' is a first round pick candidate in this year's MLB Draft and was recently named the No. 8 prospect nationally for the senior class.
Strong outing today by one of the country’s top 2022 RHPs in Andrew Dutkanych (Brebeuf HS/Vandy recruit)

Top Ten RISERS
Westfield HS senior right-hander Gage Stanifer (Cincinnati recruit) has moved up not only our state rankings but also the Prep Baseball Report National list. After a strong 2021 fall campaign, Stanifer impressed scouts at February's Super 60 with a firm fastball sitting 92-95 with arm-side sink and run along with a sharp, late breaking slider. He has dominated the high school season thus far with a fastball now up to 97.
On the mound for @GoRocksbaseball was one of the ? ‘22 RHP @GageStanifer. up to 97 earlier this year. Tonight @GoBearcatsBASE commit was 90-93 T:94. showed a 83-84 slider with plus action at times. FB creates lot of swing and miss. #mlbdraft

Central Florida recruit Cameron Decker (Evansville North HS) moved up to No. 4 in Indiana and climbed 149 spots in the recently released 2022 National Rankings to No. 151. Decker is one of the best high school bats in the country showing present power and potential to become an elite hitter at the next level. Decker has been on a tear offensively this spring having already hit eight homeruns.
?No surprise here, @CameronDecker16 goes DEEP for a 2-run ?, his 8th of season. ?

The @UCF_Baseball signee continues to impress this spring for @NORTHHUSKYBASEB.#PBRBombSquad pic.twitter.com/TwPBsAv9Ho
Right-handed pitcher Jacob Gothrup (Lafayette Harrison) moved into the Top 10 at No. 9. The Wabash Valley recruit is an athletic arm with a projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. This spring we've had Gothrup up to 92. There is a lot to like about Gothrup as he has tons of upside in his frame and athleticism along with his arm speed. Expect even more velocity out of this arm very shortly.
2022 @WVCBaseball recruit Jake Gothrup (@JakeGothrup) showed well today in his (3.1) innings of work for @Harrisonbsball. Giving up (0) hits & collecting (5) K’s.

Lake Central's Connor Misch moved up a few spots to No. 10. The Xavier recruit and two-way prospect is a constant threat to do damage from the right-side of the plate and can beat any lineup when stepping on the bump with one of the better breaking balls in the class.
2022 @XavierBASE commit Connor Misch (@misch_connor) kept hitters off balance all night. Misch sat 82-84 T 85 in the 1st, maintaining 81-84 throughout the entirety of his no-no! Misch complemented his fastball with a CB at 67-69 that could be thrown in any count. pic.twitter.com/6PNXBDhSJG

More Notable Risers
No. 15 Joey Wilmoth (Fishers HS), an Illinois State recruit, has impressed early this spring with a fastball into the low 90's and showing the ability to spin the breaking ball for a strike and also bury it as an out-pitch.
My first look at @WilmothJoey did not disappoint. The @ISURedbirds commit was 88-91. Touching 91 multiple times in His one full inning of relief. Wilmoth showed a sharp 77-78 breaking ball as well.
