PA 2026 Rankings Update
September 6, 2023
With the summer circuit officially coming to a close and school back in stride, it's time for our staff to sit down for a modest pre-fall update to the 2026 class rankings. The keystone state's top two pitchers possess the size and physicality to be future weekend arms at the next level, headlined by RHP Nicholas Bradley (Abington Heights) & RHP Brighton Fontaine (LaSalle College).
Things stayed put at #1 overall, as Wake Forest commit 3B Andrew Costello (Cathedral Prep) retained after a strong showing at the Area Code Underclass Games. Other important changes include two fresh faces entering the Top-10 in RHP Ryan Fuller (Avon Grove) and RHP Noah Farrell (Dubois Area).
Speaking of success down south, multiple Team PA Future Gamers saw their position jump heavily; 3B/OF Owen Rozzi (West Chester East) up to #13 and RHP Ben Kulp (Wilson) firmly at #32.
Included below is a full list of the 140 ranked, a closer look at the Top-10, and risers to note.

THE TOP 10
Andrew Costello C / 3B / Cathedral Prep, PA / 2026Quick Hits: After an explosive Freshman campaign for top-ranked Cathedral Prep, the broad-shouldered C made an impression at the Area Code Underclass Games this summer. It's an efficient, direct hand-path through the ball with tons of barrel-strength. Just for good measure, the body keeps moving the right way, adding on lean muscle. He's a future 3/4 hole hitter with an advanced approach from the RH box.
Wake Forest commit |
Nicholas Bradley RHP / 3B / Abington Heights, PA / 2026Quick Hits: There's some massive projection in the frame at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, as well as a unicorn FB in the low-90's that generates big carry above the waist. A new-and-improved 80-82MPH SL cuts across the zone on a lateral plane with feel for a faded CH to LH hitters. An easy release from a power H 3/4 slot points to more velocity on the way. Auburn commit |
Brighton Fontaine RHP / SS / LaSalle College, PA / 2026Quick Hits: Ultra-athletic in a stretchy 6-foot-2, 200-pound build, Fontaine fits the mold of a future starting pitcher with a free-flowing delivery that gets down the slope. We've seen the FB reach the upper-80's with ride/run at 2394 rpms and an aggressive 72-76MPH SL with hard sweep (11 inch HM) for Ks. His out-pitch may end up being a tunneled 80-81MPH CH down/away at 2000 rpms.
Alabama commit |
Brady Abate 3B / OF / Malvern Prep, PA / 2026Quick Hits: The first Freshman position player to start 20+ games for Malvern Prep since a guy by the name of "Lonnie White" did so, Abate posted a near .300 AVG / .500 OBP line vs. some of the top arms in the state. In today's day and age of launch quickness, there might be none better, working up to top-speed instantaneously while showing off an equally accurate swing. It's light-tower power from a chiseled 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame.

Luke Williams SS / 3B / Franklin Regional , PA / 2026Quick Hits: A freaky mover at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds, the Franklin Regional product is only scratching the surface of what he can become. Williams announced his commitment to UVA in April and has since incorporated some XBH's into the offensive game. There's signs of a plus run tool (6.85 60YD) and rare bat-speed with top-of-the-lineup intrigue at the next level. When tacking on a mid-90's OF arm you're looking at an all-around producer.
Virginia commit |
Keller Bradley RHP / OF / Pennsbury, PA / 2026Quick Hits: One of the standouts for #TeamPA at the PBR Future Games in Georgia, Bradley hides it with deception at 6-foot-5, 175-pounds, using long arms to drive a riding FB by for swing/miss. The workhorse RHP is fresh off of an All-SOL Freshman season as Pennsbury's #2, up to T89MPH with a sharp 70-72MPH SL on a backdoor tilt. It's clean projection with the ability to kill an above-AVG low-80's CH.

Ryan Fuller RHP / OF / Avon Grove, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 4
Quick Hits: Fuller went on an insanely fast climb up the class rankings this spring/summer after velocity took off into the upper-80's. The thin/wiry 6-foot, 155-pounder gains pace down the mound from the stretch-only, breaking the hands over the stack with arm-speed. An 86-88MPH FB gets on the hitter using violent hips, as a 75-77MPH SL mirrors angle out of the hand. Some rawness yet with a #1 type ceiling.

Noah Farrell RHP / 1B / Dubois Area , PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 5
Quick Hits: Seemingly unbeknownst to the class until the summer, Farrell produces jaw-dropping leverage from a 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame with a live FB into the 90-91MPH range. The lead-leg block is well-advanced, as is a 70-72MPH CB that flashes every bit of 18 inches HM. When considering the overall plus feel to pitch, it's hard not to be bullish about the arsenal.

Owen Beatrice 2B / 3B / North Catholic, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 9 / POS: 1
Quick Hits: Last year's name-to-know from our 2022 Junior Future Games team, Beatrice hit .348 as a Freshman in the WPIAL. The sub-7.00 runner really turns the barrel from behind with adjustable parts throughout, good enough for a low-90's EV and tons of hand-speed. A pop-up name on the national scene during the course of the summer, he plays up when the lights come on.

Jaidyn Rivera OF / RHP / The Haverford School, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 1
Quick Hits: Few athletes can effect the tempo on the bases like Rivera, using a twitchy first-step to pressure the defense. Only 5-foot-9, 165-pounds, the two-sport athlete creates one of the more low-effort paths to the ball with finishing ability. A leadoff hitter by nature with a T96MPH EV and 356FT distance, the sky is the limit power-wise using quality hand-eye. There's a chance to hold down a future CF role as a ballhawk in the middle.

RISERS TO NOTE
Owen Rozzi 3B / OF / West Chester East, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 2
With 4 hits through (3) games at the PBR Future Games, Rozzi looked the part of a tough out who could cover the plate. More impressively, two of these came with 2 strikes; a backside single vs. MVP Danny Wallace and an RBI ground-rule double at 94MPH off the bat. We're a big fan of the swing!
|
Jack Herbein RHP / 2B / Malvern Prep, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 7
All it took was a breakout 'pen at #InterACSD for Herbein to enter the Top-15, equipped with an effortless 86-87MPH FB from a short-to-long release. Listed at 6-foot, 160-pounds, there's plenty of room to fill, as well as a sharp 11/5 CB in the low-70's. Should be able to handle bulk innings for Malvern this spring.
|
Cody Norman LHP / OF / State College Area, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 2
Highly projectable with more upside to go at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, Norman runs the FB away from RH batters at 83-85, T86MPH (16 inch HM) and challenges the back foot with a two-plane 73-75MPH that shows depth. All three pitches qualify as above-AVG, killing spin on a 74-76MPH CH for whiffs.
|
AJ Calio RHP / 3B / West Chester Rustin, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 8
The lean, athletic 6-foot, 178-pound righty hammers the K zone with quiet intensity from a simple build of pace. Holds 86MPH with the FB and commands a 5-pitch mix across the zone. Notably a 71-74MPH CB saw huge 12/6 shape while a 76-78MPH SL bit hard with a different plane. This is a future collegiate starter in waiting.
|
Ben Kulp RHP / 1B / Wilson, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 12
It was a LOUD summer for Kulp, bringing out a newfound mid-70's SL in the 2500 rpms territory at the PBR Future Games. Would retire two hitters using the pitch, mixing his usual downhill 83-85, T86MPH FB and tall 70-71MPH CB from a short-window delivery. Built powerfully with strong lats and shoulders as a water-polo-player, he's one to take tabs on.
|
Anthony Niro OF / RHP / Central Bucks East, PA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 54 / POS: 8
An early-Fall winner after the District 1 Scout Day, Niro ran a 7.08 60YD followed by a mature round of BP, up to a T94MPH EV and 330+ FT. The right-handed hitter demonstrated a whippy trigger with athletic hands that worked to multiple levels. The measurables are there with an 85MPH OF arm; positional flexibility.
