Eastern PA Top Prospect Games: Day One Highlights

The 2019 Eastern PA Top Prospect Games opened play with position players taking live batting practice prior to a pair of nine inning games at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim today. Defensive evaluations and the 60-yard dash are on tap tomorrow prior to two more nine inning games to complete the two day event.
A complete look at all prospects in attendance will be coming over the course of the next week. For now, here is a look at four pitchers that stood out on day one.
+ 2021 RHP Luke Holman (Wilson West Lawn) continued to show why is is widely considered one of the top uncommitted arms in his class statewide sitting 86-89 from an easy, repeatable delivery. Holman's high spin rate curveball shows advanced depth and two-plane break at 72-74.
+ 2020 RHP Gabe Mallo (Perkiomen Valley) gets a lot out of his 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame. A strong lower half and quick arm allowed him to sit comfortably at 85-88 while his slider at 74-77 has the makings of a quality second pitch.
+ 2022 RHP Eddie Smink (West Chester Henderson) impressed in our first look at him this spring and today's outing was also impressive. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder repeats his delivery well and gets a lot out of his lower half. Today he sat 84-85 while commanding his curveball in the mid-60s and and occasional changeup at 69-70.
+ 2020 RHP Daniel Errigo (Neshaminy) sat 83-85 while using his slider at 70-75 effectively over three innings of work. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder has a prototypical starters frame and additional velocity is likely in the near future.
