UNCOMMITTED SPOTLIGHT
2025 PROSPECTS
Noah Scharer OF / RHP / South Salem, OR / 2025Rankings PBR Oregon: 20
From 5/18/23: "[Scharer] put together a well-rounded performance at our Preseason All State and hasn’t looked back since. Strongly built with powerful levers at 6’0, 190. Scharer does an exceptional job of playing up to his tools when it matters in game. Plays very fast between the lines. The bat has really impressed on multiple live looks this spring & he’s one of the top uncommitted hitters left on the board in the class. He also has 2-way ability on the mound but the bat has really stood out the most this spring." |
Reid Linkmeyer 3B / SS / Liberty, OR / 2025Rankings PBR Oregon: 27
Linkmeyer is a physical presence in the right-side of the box at 6-foot-3, 205-pounds. At our Preseason All-State event in February, he took one of the loudest rounds of batting practice. Linkmeyer ranked within the top-5 at the event in maximum exit velocity (100.4 mph) and maximum hand speed (26.6 mph) while leading the event in average hand speed (25.6 mph). Heading into the back half of his prep career, he is a name-to-know in the region. |
Dakota Chun C / 3B / Aloha, OR / 2025Rankings PBR Oregon: 29
From 5/18/23: "[Chun] was another standout performer from our Preseason events that has continued to impress throughout the spring. A compact, sturdy frame at 5’10, 230. Chun uses his powerful levers to impact the baseball with a tight, compact swing. Stays extremely connected at the point of contact causing the baseball to jump when he squares it up. Defensively he profiles well behind the plate or could likely handle a corner INF spot if needed as well." |
