Pacific Northwest Winter Winners - 2025 Grads

This winter, the PBR Washington and Oregon scouting staff ran a handful of events coinciding with the Prep Baseball Report Preseason ID and Preseason All-State circuit.
Our journey started on Feb. 5th with the Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State, an invite-only event that featured some of the region’s top prospects from the 2022-to-2026 grad classes. The next day we ran the Pacific Northwest Preseason ID, where 100+ more high school prospects displayed their talents to our staff. Our ‘ID’ winter circuit concluded on Feb. 21st in Moses Lake, where we hosted 40+ more players at the Central Washington Preseason ID.
PBR events such as this provide players with the opportunity to build their profile with the most up-to-date information and video footage before heading into the off-season. All players in attendance receive an online profile with their verified statistics, player report, picture and video. Additionally, all subsequent stories written about a prospect will be linked to the player’s profile, ultimately creating a one-stop shop for recruiters.
Showcases help identify which prospects have asserted themselves towards the top of their class as well as who might be one of the next youngsters to emerge onto the scene. They also serve as potential identifiers for invite-only events such as our Future Games and Junior Future Games.
Today, we’re going to spend some time spotlighting players from the 2025 class that popped to our staff across the winter circuit. It’s a talented up-and-coming group in both states with plenty of uncommitted names-to-know - all of which we’re excited to watch develop throughout the course of their high school careers.

WINTER WINNERS
2025 GRADS (PT. 1)

Will Cahill OF / RHP / Seattle Prep, WA / 2025A highly athletic name-to-know, Fr. OF/RHP Will Cahill (Seattle Prep, 2025). Ranked inside the top-200 on our initial Class of 2025 National Rankings, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound Cahill was one of the better underclass prospects we saw this winter. Cahill ran a 7.19 60-yard dash at our Preseason All-State event in February, significantly improving from the 7.55 time he just ran at an event late last October. Showed advanced bat speed for his age (73.8 mph average) and power potential as well, squaring up his hardest ball at 93.7 mph while launching his furthest batted ball 342 ft. Cahill finished his position player workout with an impressive showing in the OF with quick feet and a loose, lively arm that topped at 87 mph. He hopped on the mound afterwards and threw his FB for strikes at 82-84 mph while mixing in a tightly spun slider at 72-73 mph. Heading into his first season at the high school level, Cahill is certainly going to be a name we’ll closely monitor throughout this year |

Will Crain RHP / OF / Eastside Catholic, WA / 2025RHP/OF Will Crain (Eastside Catholic, 2025) is another one of the top prospects in the Washington Freshman class. Crain attended the Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State in early February and, as we expected, emerged a major winner in multiple areas. Crain’s athleticism was evident as he cruised to a 6.96 in the 60-yard dash to start off his workout. The 6-foot-1, 150-pound Crain flashed serious intrigue on the mound, running his fastball up to 85 mph, sitting in the 83-84 mph range throughout, while averaging 18+ inches of vertical carry, per TrackMan. Spun pun his breaking ball from a high ¾ release in the low-70s pitch while showing depth and 12/6 shape at a 2,200+ RPM average. Also flashed upside at the plate with his Blast Motion metrics and defensively topped at 82 mph from the outfield. The upside to mature into a toolsy OF prospect with power potential is very apparent. Former Junior Future Games participant. |

Ian Draper SS / RHP / Rogers , WA / 2025A lean, upside athlete of note on this list: INF/RHP Ian Draper (Rogers, 2025). Built at thin-waisted 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, Draper ran a 7.22 60-yard dash with easy footspeed and an athletic, projectable gait throughout. He swings a clean right-handed bat that stays in the zone with noticeable hand speed that’ll likely improve as he tacks on strength over the years. It’s a simple and repeatable offensive operation that flashed upside in the power department as well, reaching a peak batted distance of 344 feet and a max exit velocity of 91.1 mph, too. Defensively he has the look of a long-term INF prospect with sound footwork and a consistent glove hand. And there is aptitude on the mound with his ability to run his FB up to 81 presently while controlling his secondary offerings. He’s certainly a prospect to monitor in the class moving forward. |

Reid Linkmeyer SS / RHP / Liberty, OR / 2025INF Reid Linkmeyer (Liberty, 2025; OR) made his presence felt immediately at his PBR event debut this winter, which came at the Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound freshman passes the eye test right away and has exciting projection to dream on. Ran a 7.13 in the 60-yard dash and followed it up with one of the loudest BP rounds we saw all winter. Linkmeyer’s hardest hit ball clocked in at 99 mph, his furthest ball traveled 358 feet, and he averaged 89.7 mph off the barrel - all of which are advanced batted ball metrics for someone his age. He generated some easy gap-to-gap contact when he elevated the ball and there’s plenty of power to dream on given his age and where he’s at right now. Physically you just don’t see many prospects with the upside Linkmeyer possesses and he has a considerably high ceiling. Exciting follow in the 2025 class. |

Teddy Tokheim SS / RHP / Lakeside, WA / 2025One of the hardest underclass fastballs we’ve seen to date came from INF/RHP Teddy Tokheim (Lakeside, 2025). Built at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds with plenty of room to fill out his frame and long levers, Tokheim first flashed intrigue at the plate, elevating hard contact throughout his round of BP with a fairly short, uphill path to contact. He reached a peak exit velocity of 96.6 mph, averaged 87.2 mph throughout BP, and his furthest batted ball traveled 346 feet. Defensively he moves with smooth, deliberate actions and has plenty of body control throughout the fielding process. Then, he hopped on the mound and pumped his fastball up to 86.2 mph, sitting in the 81-85 mph range during his ‘pen with some feel for the zone to pair. He threw his changeup at fastball arm speed with quality velocity separation from his fastball at 72-74 mph and it averaged 19+ inches of horizontal break. Overall, Tokheim established himself as a major prospect in the ‘25 class and will be a big riser in the updated rankings |

Mark Wiepert C / OF / Wilsonville, OR / 2025C Mark Wiepert (Wilsonville, 2025; OR) has added strength onto his frame since we last saw him in August at the Junior Future Games. Now built at a stronger, more proportional 6-foot, 180-pounds. Wiepert put together an impressive all-around showing, starting with a noteworthy 7.12 60-yard dash which is exceptional for his size & age. He worked with a certain ease in BP, maintaining rhythm and balance throughout his swing as he produced consistently hard gap-to-gap contact. Wiepert owns above-average raw power for his age, generating a max exit velocity of 96.5 mph with an average mark of 88.7 mph. His ability to hit the ball hard and hit it in the air is noteworthy, as his furthest batted ball traveled 353 feet while he also hit the ball 253 feet, on average. Defensively, Wiepert showed a strong arm that topped at 76 mph from the crouch and on-the-bag accuracy as well, popping in the 2.00-to-2.12 range during his defensive workout. It was a strong showing for the Wilsonville backstop and he’ll look to carry this positive momentum into the season. |
