Scouting Notes: Ontario Terriers Scout Day - 2.25.18
Ben Abram RHP / Georgetown District, ON / 2018Report: The Oklahoma commit looked sharp in his bullpen, displaying a consistent delivery without many restrictions. It’s free and easy with a good drive towards the plate on a good downward plane. Given his size, there could be more extension upon release but there have been large improvements over the last year. His fastball topped at 89 mph with some arm side run an is able to hit his spots effectively and pitch to both sides of the plate. Flashed a few tight curveballs with good rotation and downward movement. Abram has become a more polished pitcher over the last year and has shown the ability to throw four pitches effectively. There is real projectability in his pitchability and the changes he has made speaks volumes on his compete level and drive to get better. |
